When I had the horseshoe, I always went to the barber and never thought to get clippers to cut my own hair. I was a summer camp leader and every day had a different theme. They had Halloween day, and I decided to go as Mr. Clean so I shaved my head. I didn't like it at first, but this pretty woman at the camp said I rocked and that I should keep it. That was 12 yrs ago and never looked back. When I had my beard, I would go the barber to trim it every so often. Now, that I am clean-shaven, I don't have to go to the barber. Shaving one's head is a major decision because you don't know how you are going to look and frankly, there are some men that
don't look good with a shaved head imo.

Very nice shave Simon! I have come to realize that you can't always shave the same way with whatever razor you use because the geometry is different. It's not a one technique fits all shaves.

 

Sometimes the average-looking man gets the pretty woman. Billy Joel won Christie Brinkley over. Billy Joel is no Robert Redford. Yeah I know...they divorced later, but had kids. I should add, I'm no Redford either, but neither am I a BIlly Joel.

Terrific shave Tim! I don't palm lather because it is messy and it's like using canned goo to lather my face. It's the same reason why I use my brushes to wet my face because I don't have to dry my hands and get into the shave. Also, I really don't need to squeeze the brush too much because most of the excess water is on my face. However, I do rewet my face with my hands on subsequent passes to feel where I "missed".

I remember a male Reading teacher in my college who shaved his head but had a thick mustache. I remember thinking "What's with the mustache fella??" It's just that I never saw a man look like that before. Seen many like him since then.

 

So true! You think you've got it sussed and then have the worst shave ever!

 

Well let's be honest, he is very famous and wealthy so that raises his stock with women considerably. Without getting too political, Melania Trump would not have married our president if he was just working as a grocery manager. Newt Gingrich wouldn't be married to his wife Calista, the Ambassador to the Vatican, if he didn't have fame and wealth.
