Great classic kit, as usual, Tom! Nothing like an Omega Boar! My PRO48 is my favorite boar brush.

Thanks, Patrick! Hope you’re feeling better. I’m also battling a sinus infection! I get tons of the things, being an immunocompromised old fart! Antibiotics are my friend!

That's a fresh looking set up, Joe--awesome menthol Monday shave! :D

That Wolstenholm razor is lovely! I normally shy away from anything with a square point, but this is not a dramatic point. I really like it :)

    1953 #34 german tech
    vintage wilkinson super sword edge
    wilkinson boar
    wilkinson soap
    nivea deep aftershave

good morning gents, german tech today, this tech has an aluminum handle and baseplate, with it's own unique nickel plated cap..not in production long it seems,as germany's 1956 tech model, the #5 ,sports a u.s style post war base plate and cap..
loaded the vintage wilkinson blade, got a great face lather from the wilkinson brush/soap combo and got a dfs+.very light razor compared to my usual techs, but nice to use..finished the shave with nivea deep,awesome..have a fine day gents.. 1953 (Y1) Nech No34 Germany.jpg

Cream: Kapo (Bulgarian manufacture, but it’s sold out of the UK). Either the red or green tube. Both are great creams and quite economically priced.
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat

I hadn’t shaved since Friday, so the shave early this morning took off a full 72 hours of growth. M bombed the soap for Menthol Monday and produced a nice lather, albeit one that was too thin on the 3rd pass. While these Zeniths are soft right away, I still have to remember they need some extra load time until the tips split properly.
3 passes and I was quite smooth. 4 hours later a little bit on my chin, maybe. Jim is right that this OC isn’t necessarily the smoothest feeling razor, but an enjoyable shaver nonetheless. A fine result capped off with the nice Eau Sauvage.
    Have a great day all!

That, sir, is an amazing shave--gonna be quite some time before I catch the little critter with a shavette or straight. That Filarmonica, btw, is gorgeous!:D

Sorry the razor doesn’t shave as smoothly as you’d like. My SB version is a smooth shaver, although with time, I suspect you’ll tame it until it’s shaving smoothly for you!

I probably wasn’t clear enough, Jeff. I really enjoy this razor and get nice results. It isn’t the type of razor that is like a few of my milder DEs where you wouldn’t even know there is a blade in there...that isn’t a negative for me.
