  1. Thanks Gary!
  2. Nice setup, Joe. I am a big "double-splash guy" myself. :)
  3. Don't give PAA any scent ideas, Tim.

  4. Thanks gentlemen!
Thanks Myles. The brush is a @jtspartan original. I like everything about it too.
Thanks Joe. Yes, the shaves are enjoyable (and quite gentle if I pay attention to the basics), and I'm glad to be a daily shaver once again.
    Thanks Tim.

  5. You’re welcome, Maestro! My youngest son, Sam, (age 32) has just been diagnosed with Covid. He’s a paramedic in NJ. He was a navy medic with marines in Afghanistan. I’m one worried old fart! He’s been hospitalized in NJ right in the thick of things. :(
  6. I see, now. Not a ramble, btw, if it's giving me info I want to know ;)

  8. Great post, Jeff. Glad the modified Karve is working out.
  9. That's very good Jeff! I also see you as a Milles Bornes guy every time you drive your TR6.
  10. Let's pray for his speedy recovery, Jeff.
  11. The container does make it difficult to load from the puck.
  12. Wonderful photo and shave, Joseph! I like to think that the Gillette OT got a standing ovation and came back for an encore shave ;)

  13. cheers..:)
  14. Am I enjoying my shaves with it? Good question. As of now I have to think about it too much. The angle doesn't come naturally to me. I would have to spend more time with it, get to the point where I could shave with it on autopilot before I called it a truly enjoyable shave. The V3 Hawk and the CG LvL3 would both benefit from a 30 day focus.
Congrats on the new goodies, Joseph! The vintage aftershave sounds awesome!
  15. Most likely you and me, both ;)
  16. Yes and no, Joe. Yes, it probably feels a little stiffer with a shorter loft, but it is a good density regardless. How deep you set a knot and how tight it is in the hole will do a lot to determine the feeling of stiffness moreso, I think. You are right that I want a full face feel of bristles and some serious load capacity. The knot doesn't need to be wider, or denser, only taller. I don't think it makes any difference to beard lift, to be honest.
  17. Thanks Joseph! I didn't realize how important it is to choose setups to lift up my spirits in the midst of this self isolation in NY. I thank God that the weather this month was not great, but with the warmer weather on the horizon, this situation will prove much more difficult. Hopefully, it won't be long when we can go back to some normalcy.
  18. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
  19. Please tell me that is wider than one of those Fine tubs...
