Long busy day....catch up hoard post:

First, Misty and Milo give a thank you curtsy bow, they love compliments. Also, sincere appreciation from me on your gracious comments for my post this morning!

So....is it back to work to get some rest for Thursday Neal ;)? Nice looking toggle, great post and shave!

This image looks like a candy store advertisement Jim! Simply awesome. Makes me want to use my Zenith rainbow tomorrow....but I'll spend 4 hours trying to make it look as good as you did. Awesome everything!

Great looking textures and colors Clint! Your A&E descriptions are very enabling...

    Great image and shave Charlie!

Cool image and great report Gary! Love the Tech!

Nice shave Joe! Love the BoS also.

Another Cella fan. Cool! Straight razor shaver. Doubly so! Great report Joe! By the way, b1hart = blair. Glad you're here!

Wow, awesome read and image Jeff! Love the variety of your shaves!

Very nice Jason! So....the T2 is still short when transplanted, argh. I was thinking it could be set a bit higher possibly.

Great post and image Joseph! Love the SR. Awesome job transferring that La Savonnière and label. And....appreciate the scent feedback, thought about that soap long ago, but with that scent profile, nope.

    Thoughts and prayers for Sam!

Nice Paul! Never tried the Gillette Foamy...only Barbasol and Proraso canned. Both get the job done. The Proraso, a little spendy, but man, it's very good for canned, and only a little is needed!

Some very steady and great progress Tim! Now your shaves sound uneventful (for the crimson stuff), and confident. BBS/DFS, nice! As to cold water shaves, you and Joe got me thinking....

thank you Jeff.it's a1920s canadian old type original nickel, and the new Razor Emporium replica old type ball end handle.nice weight and balance, grippier than the original and best of all, won't crack or split.my brit #44 new rfb's used these old type handles as well,so win win..also cheaper than replating a risky but good gold one.my original nickel handle had deceased long ago..

Thanks for the nudge....I need to get on with some of the wrapped handle projects. The Hoshi Tombo was a decent find, a restored razor. It's got a few blemishes, they don't really show, but I don't go out of the way to hide them. Under the tortoise scales, you can see parts of the steel slowly looking its age. Look right where the scales start, under the lighter area, those are spots on the steel, not in the scales. Been thinking of a red leather 3 or 4mm wrap for this one...

I am really liking the RA. Now that I have learned to keep the setting low I am getting great shaves with it. Used the other stuff just because April is almost over and I had to. Great 3 pass BBS shave this morning. BTW Yesterday was a bloodbath with the RA and a Feather... I just opened it up a little too much.

I ordered tools for making my razor during May. So far I see a lot of videos where people shape the blade by hand on a wheel. Well, I will be roughing it on my CNC, lathe milling (because the lathe can be used as a very still mill), and then finishing on the small belt sander I use for sharpening lathe bits... $150 invested in tools so far. Only another $500 and 40 hours of labor and I will have a "inexpensive" custom razor...

If I recall correctly it came with some sort of sea sponge in the bottom of the container.

Excellent shave report and photo Tim. You guys can have the cold water shave. I have had them when there was no other choice but I am not going there unless necessary.
