That Ed Brice is lovely, Keith--an awesome way to start a week-long vacation and end the month (or is it begin the month for you )
thank you Tim.the shave mug/soap holder is a 1940s ish green glass piece made here in canada..the razor is fine but can be aggressive..
Thanks, Joe. People may not be aware, but there are a large number of first responders like Sam who’ve been infected!
Always buy used now . Had a few new trucks over the years and learned that lesson on the value dropping a few grand before the ink is dry. My brother gave me his old 05 sierra which I will use for a plow truck for yard . Missed out on a few good deals as things seem to be selling fast lately.
April 30th '69 SA-109 w Astra SP Omega Pro/Resin Palmolive shave stick Thayers CL Bon Vivant AS Had a nice 3 pass shave early this morning. Tried to give another day to a few of the focusses on here- shave sticks and adjustables. Everything worked as it shoul, which is a good thing with an Omega breaking in and the solid Palmolive, and I think I'll keep the Black Beauty around. I wasn't sure I would as I rarely pull it out, but it gave me a few really good shaves 'wide open' when I grabbed it this month. The birth year part is fine with me, too. As always, I enjoyed following along with everyone's focuses (or non focusses) this month. I have no idea what I am doing for May yet, but will look forward to what the Czar comes up with... Have a great day all!
My month ended with a repeat of yesterday. I guess I keep repeating the comment that my body washes(all 4 men of course) in the shower are great setups for the shave. You might say it's like the hot-towel treatment, only wetter and soapier. I did have the pleasure of the hot towel routine in a barbershop back in the 80's. Anyway, another fine shave. Again I had the regular Gillette Foamy Magnificent Goo. By the way, I noticed yesterday that I have a lot of the Menthol Goo remaining. That will certainly be good for June/July/August/September here. Course I'll have some shave soaps as well(not goin ALL goo in these warm months, but more so that in the fall/winter). I ran the Foamy under the warm tap(kinda like "blooming" the can, right? . The water is never so hot that it would burst the can. One pass(as is custom for my cans), however I did a few touchups in areas that looked that they needed them. Set to begin May now . .
