Stunning photo Jim. The razor is gorgeous. I can not imagine a frozen scuttle shave.

Shaved about 6 hours ago. Been working outside on this beautiful day.

    Great gear today, friends.
The Personna 74 is the Jim Fixx of razor blades.
Vintage Williams is the Grandfather of shave soaps.
Simpson is the King of shaving brushes.
    I am the...Duke of Earl.
    Take care everybody.

Tree topping is a good sign that you can shave with it James. Tomorrow is another day!
Nice shave Jim! Is the Japanese mandarin scent somewhat subdued because of the menthol?

    Thank you, Clint!
The lather from the frozen scuttle is so incredibly cold. Like burying my face in a snow drift. The frozen scuttle filled with crushed ice and water probably puts the lather near freezing.
Thank you, Jeff. The Apollo is a great razor. A lot of detail and not a single machine mark to be found.

I did order a Tradere while sitting in the Home Depot parking lot waiting for a curbside pickup. Slow internet connection. My order didn't go through until 11:02 Mountain time.

Thanks, but I like to address you like I have been. As for me, Joe, Joe T and Trigger are acceptable appellations for me, but Joseph is not.

Great looking shave and photo Primo. You have the shave tonic on the ropes.

    Thanks, Joe!

The soap smells like Satsuma w/menthol. I don't know if I would call the scent subdued but there is definite menthol smell to it too.

Beautiful photo, Clint, and a fantastic shave and report!

You've also given me a great idea: my youngest has been just awful today, and could probably do with a bit of a walk. Actually, I think I might need one just as much as he does :D

Thank you Tim. The weather here is just gorgeous so it was a perfect day for a walk. I am sure the two of you will enjoy the time out on the walk.

Awesome photo, shave, and report, Evan--I really want that auto-strop to work for you! :D

I'm curious: do you treat the Feather like you would a straight and strop it before every shave, or are you waiting till it feels tuggy, then running it through the strop?

Wonderful photo and setup, Joe--that razor/brush combo is amazing! :D

The Winter Reserve Tonic has been getting a lot of play in the 30DC as of late as well--you all must be onto something ;)

For as long as I can remember, we have always had a copy of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. First in VHS, then DVD. But we always had to rewind this part...
