I've been in this house long enough and familiar enough with its quirks that unfortunately I know that if some drano gel and some plungin' don't get it, then the plumber's gonna have to come out.
This house is pretty bad about having non-resident friendly resolutions to plumbing issues.
Much too long and boring of a backstory, but just know this: if there's one thing I won't miss if we sell the house, it's the plumbing. 99% of the time, no problems what-so-ever, not even slow drains with dishwasher, clothes washer, and shower going at the same time; but when it decides to backup, it's usually roots further out than my snake can reach, and would be useless against anyway.
I would say it's a result of all the recent rain around here, but it's been clear for nearly 2 days now (though more coming in tonight), so I doubt that's it.

 

Roto-Rooter usually does the job then? If so, that isn't too bad I guess, still takes money away from shave goodies.

 

well, a local guy anyway. Yeah, I hate when it does it, I go out and buy some drain cleaner anyway in hopes that it'll work one time, all the while knowing I'll have to call them.

I'm really praying it works this time, since payday's not til Friday...and we might have enough to fill up one of the car's tanks for the rest of the week; PTL all the bills are paid

 

Best of luck to you, I hope the drain cleaner works, but like you I have never had much luck with it myself.

great, maybe they'll take a post-dated check tomorrow...we're already behind next month too - appears I may be having a razor sell-off sooner than I thought, and for a goal it wasn't intended for

 

Not good news, but.. ummm... if you need help with those razors...

here's the biggest problem - I didn't shave last night, didn't get time to this morning, and really, really need to....uggh

but, it's still going to make it tight(er) next month - especially since I have my eyes on a couple of razors I saw at an antique store I found on my way home from an out of town meeting last week - anyone looking for a slim, super adjustable, or a couple of gems? :rofl

Wish I could. I got far less sleep than I would have liked today, but after I woke up this afternoon I just couldn't get back to sleep.

Kinda long day today. Started mowing at my moms at 0615 finished at 0915 then on my way to pick up my compadre from work I ran some errands for Mom and Dad. Then took a 5 or so hour nap got up then back out to the Rents to return a trailer, it was required for the errands, and drop off a couple of rockers she had worked on in town. then a short nap took the compadre to work, then remembered that I needed some stuff from town.. mostly my hearing aid batteries., so back into New Iberia to the all night CVS. Now I get to relax and who is around humm.
