    jluc smelling pretty

    Thanks, Joe!
I've always bowl lathered The Fat but today I face lathered for the first time with it. Fantastic lather, probably my best from The Fat.

Beautiful pics, Gary! I've been hearing great things about Williams this month, which is odd because it seems like it's been the whipping boy of soaps in the past. That military Tech handle looks fantastic, btw :D

I go side to center. I've started moving my head instead of the razor for XTG, and that has helped considerably for the XTG cheek and chin passes--still awkward, just not as much so ;)

Is that a glass bottle you've got for the Veg?

Great Monobilt shave and super image, Jason! You never go wrong with a Monobilt shave!

Spot on, Joe! Most of our shave brothers here devote at least a week to each razor. I should probably do the same, but feel like a kid in a candy store every morning. I’ve managed to accumulate many more razors than any man needs, but the ones I’ve kept I enjoy shaving with. After so many years with the same DE, I really like the variety.

I really like it. I had a bottle of Creed Adventus that I used up some years ago. I think I like the Platinum more.

Excellent looking shave Jeff. Nothing wrong with going for a repeat performance with a great piece of hardware. Love the Jayruh brush. Enjoy another cool day here on LI.

A little tough keeping up, things getting busy again....skimming/reading along as time allows. Thanks for all the comments on my post from yesterday, and as always, tons of great razors, software, brushes and images happening....lots of great progress and reports too!

Today's shave was a 3 pass'r. Couple unexpected oops from this thoroughbred razor after it went a round on the pasted strops. One on the neck required styptic, but other stopped on its own. Showing the back side of the blade, as this sides' horn scale has more color striations and variation than the opposite with the blade etching. Loads of great luscious lather from PAA's shave soap and Jason's blue resin maple handle fitted with a huge 28mm silvertip from TGN. Bowl lathering overflows, face feel and lathering for both the knot and CK-6 formula is out of this world. John Frum fragrance only adds to the experience. Followed with PAA's after shave balm called Star Jelly (slightly mentholated), then finished with the matching John Frum aftershave & cologne. John Frum.....a wifey favorite as well as mine, lasts for hours and hours....got an unsolicited 'You smell GREAT!' this morning. Doesn't get much better than that.

PAA's Scent Profile: Sicilian Cedrat, Black Pepper, Sea Salt, Ambergris, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Kava Kava, White Musk & Animalic Musk.

Hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day!

Great shave, Joe! That’s Rick Nejman’s soap isn’t it? I almost bought a tub. Sounds like really nice stuff!

Wonderful photo, Clint, and a fantastic line up! :D

Speaking of the line up, my two year old climbed onto the chair with me and saw your photo and asked, "Is that saving?"

I had no idea what the boy was talking about.

After about 20 seconds of question and answer, I realized he was asking if your photo was about shaving. A proud moment for me :)

Awesome line up, Joe! My two oldest sons have Q-shave Future clones, and I was impressed by how well they shave. The scent profile for the Loose Screw soap sounds wonderful, and that Minion brush absolutely cracks me up! So cool! :happy102:

Thanks, Keith! The Classic Cobra is a fine shaver. I bought one early in my AC razor journey and didn’t immediately get on with it, so I sold it. I regret that sale.

Wow! The bigness of The Big Fellow escaped me yesterday--for some reason it really hits home in your photo today. That razor is a big boy :D

I really enjoyed my experience with Soap Commander, and will probably pick up a tub when I run out of one of my current soaps. Love that rosewood brush, btw!

Jim, I couldn’t think of a better combo! Nacets are good in the Occam’s, but Feathers are incredible. I believe the razor was designed with Feather blades in mind, but everything works with the ‘FAT’! Gorgeous pic!
