    Pulled out the GameChanger this morning and 'mixed it up' by grabbing a Feather. I probably haven't used a Feather in well over a year. Had 10 in my original blade sampler from Fendrihan 4 years ago and then got this tuck from Keith a few years ago. Excellent blades, no question, but just got into using Russian Gillettes instead I suppose. Opened this last tuck up this morning.
    Lathered up a fantastic Jeeves lather. I think Jeeves is my favourite Artisan non-triple milled soap lather, truth be told. Everything worked as it should over 3 pleasant passes and I am quite smooth. Does the Autumn Glory match the Apothecary? Not in the least, but it is awesome and seemed right for a rainy morning.

    Good morning guys!

    Straight Shave #167
    Dovo Special 5/8 Full Hollow Rd Pt
    JR #290 Synthetic Brush
    Stirling Coconut and Lime SS and AS
    Nivea ASB

    It's Favorite Friday Shave today!
    For sentimental reasons, I picked my Dovo Special because it was my very first straight. The JR #290 is my best synthetic brush in my den. The Stirling Coconut and Lime is just an awesome scent.

    The JR#290 loads the soap effortlessly and crea8tes a very nice lather. The C and L scent is clean and fresh. On a 40 hr growth, I got a nice IBSS+, but I got 2 weeps on my neck during my cleanup. No biggie; styptic took care of it. Splashed on a heavy double dose of the C and L aftershave and very little stinging was the outcome. Finished with Nivea to keep this face nice and refreshed.     Super cool razor Keith! Big fan of the Omega boar knots also....but the Omega EVO and Simpson synthetics are giving them great competition (in my world).

    Good morning!

    Absolutely fabulous shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Just the lightest tickle from the alum on my neck.

    Aluminum Karve has been calling out for attention. No better opportunity than pairing with my new Simpson CH2 synthetic. The Karve is so light and smooth I appear to be shaving with reckless abandon but truth is I feel in total control. I'm so glad to have this razor in the rotation.

    Since taking the advice of @clint64 of not babying the Simpson synthetics I really enjoy using them and see myself adding more to the collection in the future.
