Yeah, much like The 'Veg. I've smelled both, and my nose (nor wifey's) were chosen! c'est la vie. Fragrance chemistry reminds me of transportation choices, different strokes!

Amazing photo, Jim! Tell your wife to stick with cutting hair--your pic of the brush is better ;)

You even got the razor involved in the color matching today. It looks fantastic, and you got a great shave out of it--winner! :D

Wonderful shave, Joe--a 5/5 shave is a great way to begin the weekend! :D

The Glacial Unscented balm is a fantastic product and it lasts forever--I've had mine for over a year and still have close to 1/3 left.

    Thank you, Tim!

I started color coordinating sometime back after seeing some of the gorgeous pics in the SOS thread and now I can't stop. I've never purchased a soap because of the label on it but I have enough brushes that I can usually find one that'll compliment the photo.

Great pics and report, Joseph! That lather looks incredible, but 20 minutes of loading... you must really want to polish off that Williams ;)

Wonderful review of the Fatip as well--always good news when you can get a decent shave out of a decently priced razor.

Awesome, Evan! Firstly, I'm thrilled that the stropping seems to be having a positive effect on keeping the blade sharp. Secondly, beautiful set up and photo. Lastly, that razor keeps looking better and better. Got my fingers and toes crossed hoping the grinding, heat treating and tempering gets you optimal results :D

Sorry for the false start there Jason. Good recovery. At least you figured it out before the end. :) Love the MonoBilt!

Nice shave Joe! If you're like me, honing will be extremely frustrating at first and then it will all come together. For me, it was TOO much pressure. As soon as I realized honing requires a light touch, I started getting good edges.

Nice shave Jeff. The Big Fellow is on my buy list, eventually. Of course, that's a long list so I may never get there. :) Keep up the good work. Love the BBS.
You can't fix a bad blade with good technique... Well, I guess you can realize what's happening a switch things up.
Looking forward to seeing that shave report too. :signs136: <--- Never used that one before.
Wow, so that's MAYhem. Thanks for educating me, Patrick!

So, my mind started out wanting to make something crude. Then I started buying tools and getting excited about making something nice.

If I decide to shave with something dicy, would people forgive me for breaking the 1 blade for May rule I set for myself?

    Very nice Myles!
Beautiful razor Keith! :) I'm still working on your prison shive shave...
Jason makes one awesome brush! Glad you got great results after a long day.
Love the photo and shave Clint!
    :) Nice shave Jeff!
Nice Shave Gary! Multi-quotes are hard.
I like Feather blades, but they tend to bite. :) I suppose the cartel won't get too upset since the results were good. Great shave Jason!
Love the Dovo Special, Joe! Sorry about the blood, but sounds like you handled it. I just pretend I was already bleeding so it wasn't the shave's fault.
    Nice phone and shave Jim!
    Lovely shave Joe!
Keep going Joseph! You can 86 that soap. I believe in you! :)

    Just checking in!
Another straight razor shave under my belt today.
I actually spent yesterday honing this razor using a 30u, 9u, 3u, 1u lapping film progression. I was examining the edge as I honed using my new handheld 60x/120x LED microscope. Turns out I did a good job. The razor was sharp and very comfortable. I achieved a DFS on cheeks, upper lip, neck and left jawline. I got a CCS on the rest. A very very comfortable feeling shave - even with the 3 small nicks!

Stay safe and enjoy your shaves gentlemen!

Nice to see a Valet get some use, Evan. I had a NOS VC4, including an unopened strop and blades and never gave it a try.

Thank you Tim. I may have exaggerated the loading time. It probably wasn't over 19 minutes.

The homemade razor project is super interesting! What kind of scales are you wanting to put on there?
