Thanks Joe! That gives me comfort. I am not as active with religion as I once was but I still believe in the Lord. And I always will.

Very interesting razor, Jeff. Can you elaborate on the blade? Can you make a modern DE blade work?

I am sorry you are getting cuts, Paul. Have you ever even considered moving to a traditional DE razor?

Well, I have struggled with the "fancy" ones, both in blade insertion and proper angles. As I wrote earlier, I do still have a lot of blades, from a long-ago PIF by @wristwatchb . The disposeABLE appears to be the easiest for me, but if I can find a razor that has relatively easy blade insertion, that could help. I do look at some of them while at CVS. Some of my disposeABLE razor shaves do end up cut and weeper free.

Patrick, thank you and I understand. I against religion per se, but it is about your relationship with Jesus. It's not for me to judge any man because I have gone through spiritual lapses in my 34+ yrs of having that relationship with him. I have been honored and priviledged to pray for you and every 30DC member regardless of beliefs. I can only pray for the best outcomes, but God is the ultimate decisionmaker. Peace to you during this time.

Political correctness knows no bounds. I also corrected my post to English as the last version. I had French listed twice. C'est la vie!

A modern DE blade can be modified by nipping out rectangular sections from the center of each tab similar to the modifications made to a standard DE for a Gibbs Adjustable. But there’s no need to do this as Schick Injector blades work beautifully in this razor. I plan on exploring DE modification, but my shave with the injector blade was excellent.

    Hi guys!
    It's Special Saturday Night Shave
    Straight Razor Shave #168
Dovo Best Quality 1/2 Hollow Rd Pt
    JR #386 Silvertip Badger Brush
Stirling Christmas Eve SS and AS
    Nivea ASB not pictured
It's pretty cold on LI so I decided to bring out the Christmas Eve scent to go with the chill on this unreal May weather evening. TBH, I would use this soap all year round because I just love this clean, fresh, pine scent. I hit the Dovo trifecta because this is the 3rd consecutive Dovo razor that I have used. This is the 5th shave on this razor since I honed it last July. It illustrates that I like my other razors better. There isn't anything wrong with the razor, but I guess that I am an aesthetic snob. Lol! Anyway, it is still special because it was my 2nd Dovo straight razor that I purchased. Yes, my first 3 razors were Dovo's. The JR brush is my top dog because it always whips up a nice lather. Did 2.5 passes for an IBSS++ without irritation, but hit a previous bump in the road that styptic fixed. Applied this great aftershave on my face, neck and hit the dome so that someone would want to setup Christmas lights on me. Really puts me in an awesome mood. There wasn't any stinging so the shave was close and comfortable. Ended with the Nivea ASB to help my skin. Tomorrow is a no shave day. Have a great evening guys! 20200509_184717.jpg 20200509_184717.jpg

I haven't been able to see her for a month or so now and I think that is part of her problem. She is not getting contact with people other than those in the seniors home . Thanks for your cincern Paul. I appreciate it.

Paul, I think that I have a solution for your placing a blade in your razor. Why don't you use tweezers to grip the blade so you can insert it without touching it. Also, if the blade isn't flush with the base, then tamp it down with the tweezer.

I can tell you have a deep love for the Lord Joe . We all lapse once in our life and thats quite alright. I dont think we will be judged for our humanly mistakes . I sincerely appreciate that you can carry this forward in your prayers to all needing them and you will be rewarded for your kindness and deep faith. God Bless!

I could understand the French version up until the change also. I'm going to rewrite my version and submit it for approval. We are forgetting our precious history in this country. My Dad was a WWII vet and is probably rolling in his grave over this.
