    That's ok Jeff! It just reinforces the quality of the Dovo brand. Honestly, I wanted the blacks scales, but it was not in their inventory. The white scales does give it a simple, yet refined appearance. I have to say that there isn't a bad looking straight razor in my den.

    Hey, would anyone here be interested in a Zoom 30DC shave meetup? I’ve been hosting several. I was thinking we could pick a time some weekday that would work for everyone. I would be glad to set it up and send out invitations. It would give us the opportunity to put names with faces. Just wondering.

    Thank you Joe...it's fascinating when you can have a bad shave AND a good one with the same products. All comes down to technique, over tools.

    Yes that is certainly true! I think time and speed causes many shaving errors. Slowing down and givung adequate time to enjoy the shave will always produce great results. Sometimes, I will take 25 minutes to shave. The time includes stropping, beard prep and lathering. So, it takes me 15 min to do 2 to 2.5 passes. Of course, I am approximating my time. Can I go quicker? Yes, but the law of diminishing returns starts to become a factor. Everyone needs to find their specific timing that maximizes their results.
