    Here’s my input...

Rounded cap is definitely the way to go.

One reason is the user can adjust the angle to his preference with the rounded cap, whereas the beveled head kind of locks in the angle.

Other reason is the rounded head better clamps down the blade and provides a smoother and chatter free shave.

As far as the weight goes, I was fine with the weight and liked the balance of the razor. This is one of those razors where I feel lightness is a virtue. If it were mine to keep (hint hint Tom), I do not think I would regret the lightness at all.

On the other hand, If it were a bit heavier by 10-15 grams and the balance didn’t change, I think I would be okay.

Still waiting. The TNAC was supposed to arrive today, but it looks like it was delayed leaving Greenville until this afternoon. So, hopefully it will get here tomorrow.

Rounded Cap, definitely. More comfortable shave, easier to control, and just as efficient as the more aggressive Angled Cap.

No midnight shave. It is out for delivery which means probably around 5 PM if I am lucky. So, it was DublDuck 5/8 this morning. Hope the TNAC makes it to me today.

Since it doesn't look like it's been named yet, I'll suggest the obvious-to me at least.
(You'll have to forgive me. I've been on a Batman kick.)

    TNAC/Maggard MR5 Razor
    Feather Hi-Stainless Blade
    West German Boar (restored) Brush
    Monroe Shaving Holly Boggin Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel w/Rose
Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum After Shave

This is my third shave with the TNAC razor with curved cap and heavier handle. For me, I liked it better with the added weight as I was able to have more control with it. Two passes with a bit of touch up for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.

First, I'd like to say that this is a nicely designed razor. Even though I prefer heavier razors with a slightly shorter handle, being light, it's a very efficient razor. The first time it touched my face, I really didn't feel it and put too much pressure on it causing one large weeper on my left cheekbone. After that, it was no problem getting used to the weight and my shaves with it were very nice. I just seem to have more control with a heavier razor, and adding a heavier handle helped that out. Out of the two caps, I prefer the curved one, plus to me, it looks better that way. Overall, this would make a great addition for anyone wanting a modern three piece razor.
Second, I will be mailing this out by Monday, our local post office is closed on Saturdays, and I will need the address as to who is next. Thanks Tom for a well designed razor.

It got here last evening, and I had my first shave this morning, and it was a great shave.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Morning TOST
    Burma Shave Boar
    Tom's B-400 Two-band Badger
    TNAC by Tom
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS

This is my first shave with Tom's Not Another Creation (TNAC). I used both caps.

The Morning TOST Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Burma Shave Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNAC by Tom with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I don't chase the baby, but I would call this BBS.

Thanks, Tom. BTW, that is an outstanding razor. I'm making a case for it.
