    Thank you, Tim!

I really really like Haverford! Fortunately for me Andrew @Linuxguile didn't. That's how I ended up with it.

Lovely photo, Gary! I have never heard of that soap before, but the labeling is awesome, and I'm liking the scent profile as well. You've got a mirror polish on the bottom of that rfb :D

Wow! So many congratulations in order for just one post. Incredibly cool that you were able to extend the life of your blade and get it back to super sharp! Fantastic news about the CNC machine as well. Those blades look wonderful fingers, toes, and even eyes crossed hoping that the grinding goes well :D

Fall you mean? Naah, I was a few feet away from the fridge when it happened. But it won't happen again-my fridge will now consist of food, drinks, and shave lather in bowls!

    2020 Shavette Focus Shave # 39

I got the works today! Another excellent two-passer with my trusty focus gear is in the books. Next up was my first lock down haircut: #4 on the back and sides and scissors over comb to trim up the top and blend everything together. My Bride did a terrific job, considering she wasn't exactly working with George T. Clooney. It feels great to lose three months of scruff on top. We set up a makeshift barber shop in the unfinished part of our basement, and I was only told to "be quiet" three times. The only things missing were the free coffee and gun magazines in the waiting area, and the Butterscotch Dum Dum for being a good boy. :happy102:

I've braced myself, @Trigger. Go ahead and make your comments. :happy097:

And, no, @brit, that is not a disco ball above my head...as far as you know. ;)

Interesting you mention Lino.....he really likes the Deep Blue Sea, whereas I wasn't that fond of it(I mean it was OK, but I think I overestimated what it would be like).

Thanks, Tim. First I have to figure out how to modify the stacked blades! If that doesn’t work, I’ll gladly settle for the Injector blade solution. It’s a win-win!

    The Shave
The plan was a 3 pass shave (WTG, XTG, ATG), but life had other things in store for me. The Treet New Steel blade did not shave well. Very tuggy! I went for the shallowest angle I could, and it helped, but not by much. In all fairness, this could be a bad blade. There is an iridescence to it like what you get when you take steel to a flame for a while, and parts of the blade do look darker than others. I almost thought I got one of the Black Beauties, but alas… not the case. Sadly, the photo doesn't catch that oiled water iridescence nor does it accurately show the darker discoloration. I hope I just got a dud blade...

    20200512_125403-01.jpeg

Tuggy 1st pass (WTG) that reduced very little.

Tuggy 2nd pass (WTG) that reduced very little. There was no way on earth I was going to go XTG or ATG when there was still a good bit of stubble left over, and the 1st pass felt as rough as it did.

Tuggy 3rd pass (XTG) finally got my cheeks and parts of my neck decent, but I didn’t feel like trying any harder. Not to mention the fact that somewhere in the middle of pass 2, my 2 year old son was throwing a Guinness World Record temper tantrum, rolling around on the floor, kicking, flailing, and shrieking--like throwing salt and iron filings on a demon. It was impressive, and leaves one in awe to see a master truly absorbed in his work. Even so, I’d had enough of that shave by then.

CCS (barely) on parts of me, but as always, the chin led the resistance, and much of my face followed. No irritation that I can detect. Frankly, I'm surprised at that.

The Semogue boar and chilled Iced Pineapple lather were the best part of the shave. That and watching my son suddenly get bored with the tantrum and help me clean up my gear--definitely an odd shave ;)

Enjoy your day, and do stay safe :D

    65 down, 35 to go!

Excellent shave and a haircut! Two bits! Obviously, a well-trained man! My current wife claims she’s still working off some of the rough corners left to her by SWMBO#1. Whatever, she’d observed me in church, so where’s the surprise?

Great shave report, Tim! God bless you! Mine were pretty much out of the house by my fifties. Of course, I only had four.
