  5. Thank you Tim! Old Virginia will probably be a repurchase...

Nothing other than awesomeness happening there Charlie. Great shave, great haircut! And....I can send plenty of caffeine and ammo related things. They grow on trees here in Texas....

Great report Tim. No irritation on a tuggy blade, seriously awesome technique/patience Tim!

  8. Thank you Tim. The scales are beautiful. The razor has grown on me. Following getting it honed by Glen Mercurio it shaves extremely well. I believe this is one of a few 5/8’s that I have. Most of my straights are 6/8 or 7/8’s.
  9. Thanks Jim. I will let Kathy know. :)
    Thanks Jeff. We're all works-in-progress. ;)
Thanks Tim. I've always taken pride in my good behavior. :D
Thanks Joe. It's better than @jluc's stinky old haircut, huh? :happy102: (I may be from the country, but I'm no gentleman. :p)
Thanks Clint. Your turn to post a haircut photo next. :)
Thanks Blair. Sounds like Kentucky and Texas are quite similar in that regard. ;)
  10. Thank you Blair. I just love a good Old Spice scent.

  11. The Merry Mixed Up Month of May!

    May 12

Razor - 1918 Gillette Old Type
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Stirling Satsuma
    Brush - 30DC LE by @jtspartan
    Post - Alum

I did something totally strange for me today. I actually stayed home because I needed a day to heal up. I'm that guy who goes to work with a broken arm and leg because, hey, I'm tough and it's either sit at home and be sick or go to work and be sick so let's get busy! About a month ago or so I banged up my right knee. Nothing serious but it bothered me a few days. In the past week I've been having pain in my right hip and it has been pretty intense sometimes. Figured they were tied together. Well, after Sunday when I game home gimpy again I had yesterday off and by this morning I felt a lot better. I'm off tomorrow too, so....for once.....I stayed in today and gave it that extra day to heal up. Hopefully I'm back to full strength on Thursday.

With the extra time at home I did my head shave today with the Merkur 23c and Astra blade. I used Arko and the VDH Boar brush for that one. For the main event, one more round with the OT an Sputnick with the 30DC LE brush providing buckets of lather from Stirling Satsuma. Great scent, lather, and a smooth shave for a near-BBS finish. I'll take that anyday.

Hope everyone had a productive day and here's to a great Hump Day!!

  13. My newest EDP cologne pick up. No words to describe at how good this one is. Really looking forward to wearing it after quarantine. Another epic creation from Chanel. I know sterling makes a bleu de Chanel shave soap clone, so I think I might have to get that one in the future to pair up with this . 1363DE53-7E0A-4EBE-B09A-EF95537AAB2F.jpeg

  16. You have excellent taste Myles! How's your new job? Are you done with the orientation and training?
  17. Can't tell you how many times I wanted to bin a sample based on how it smells off the puck, only to have the thing become a favorite (Gentleman, Glastonbury, Texas on Fire, Ramblin Man just off the top of my head). Hopefully it beds down nice--very interested to hear your take on it :D
  18. Thanks, Clint! I'm getting better at listening to my face before it actually cries, "Uncle."

  19. Thank you, Blair! I opted for a significantly less close shave rather than force a smooth face--I'm working from home right now and can afford to look a bit scruffy ;)

  20. Awesome report, Neal--love that OT, and Satsuma will most likely be my next citrus-y purchase :D

Glad you took some time to let your body do what it needs to do. My dad has gone through various surgeries for sports related injuries, only to get back out and playing three weeks after. Then can't understand why his shoulder or knee or back is still hurting.
