A beautiful October day and therefore an appropriate scent.

After centuries, as far as I remember, I wanted to put my hand (very carefully!) to the Personnas: what a curious effect...

The razor is very mild so the perception of the blades was 'pure'.
But curious: it was absolutely not felt on the skin.

I verified that everything was in order: it did shave. And all right!
The skin is very smooth and toned: a real VFBBS!

But later I did feel both the alum and the alcoholic aftershave. And EdT.
    Unexplainable, or at least strange...

But I doubt I'll spend any time brooding over it...

  8. Alfredo, nice venture out with the new weapon. Blade choice imo is the primary attribute [assuming good technique] for an enjoyable shave. I find Personna Red blades both comfortable and efficient enough. My wife does not affectionately rub my mug anymore so the Reds work for me - with an occasional Permasharp incursion. They too have that invisible feel!

    Williams Wednesday's Shave
    zcws.jpg

    Cold Water Rinse
    Williams Mug Soap
    Tom's B400 Two-band Badger
    TNAC by Tom
    Gillette Silver Blue
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Musk

The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with my Tom's B400 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNAC by Tom with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  12. I am trying to finish my stock of blades: I'll go for Kai and 7 O’Clock, Super Stainless: they work perfectly on my mowers!

I am not sure to understand 'rub my mug': she used to steal your blades? :p

The invisible feel is curious, becuse Kai and SoC are very mild but can feel when they cut!

Maybe I'll trade the bunch when fed up of using silly buys! ;)
  13. Where did you get that shot of me? :angry019:
I thought it was a very private moment and do not let the artist fool you: I was not thinking... :(
  14. I'm with you: I know what that means...

  16. What would you say is a colder A.S.-Booster Polar Ice, or Osidge Rub(Osage)?

  18. Polar Ice supposedly contains menthol but I don’t feel any cooling sensation from it. Osage Rub is very cold.

  19. Well that's strange. The fact that you don't feel a cooling sensation means there probably isn't much, if any. I wonder if there are any jokers out there who spray a couple Stoylin Frost Drops into their Osage.
