  1. It's a no shave day for me!
  2. I've yet to try Skin Bracer, but like you, I've heard good things :D

  3. Awesome sandalwood shave and report, Joe! The scales on your WB look amazing, btw :D

  5. Thanks, Jim.
He's not been spending as much time in the garden of late. I think the whole lockdown thing is getting to him a bit. He has learned to ride his bike over the last couple of weeks, so that has been a bit of a novelty. The weather is looking up, so we'll probably be back to it soon! Thank you for asking! :)
  6. Your accent is unreal!

  7. Another age commonality! My wife is also 42--I got married when I was 28, so it didn't seem too weird. Perspective is the key. When I graduated high school, she was 10. That is a perspective I avoid thinking about. :happy102:
  8. Yay Joe made a video!

  9. Thank you James! I will take it as a compliment, but it is an atypical NY accent.

  11. Just checked out the other one. I’ll be looking out for some shave videos on your channel soon :)

  12. For me, the reliance I have on skin stretching/face-making for shavettes has really upped my DE game. It may also have helped me focus more on blade angle than I normally do with a DE.

All I can say is: congratulations! Your shaving will never be the same--they'll all be even better now ;)
  13. Shave videos will be difficult because I only have my phone camera. I am only capable of taking before and after shave pictures.
  14. Nice vid, Joe :)

    The Shave
The plan, like yesterday, was for a 3 pass WTG, XTG, and ATG shave. Unlike yesterday, however, that’s exactly what I got. And I knew that’s exactly what I would get because I pulled a Feather out of Paul, the blade box of mystery.

What I didn’t know was just how well this shave would go. About as close to BBS as I have ever come with a shavette--just a couple spots that are at a lowly DFS. One small weeper and no irritation. A phenomenal shave with a blade that is a very solid performer!

Happy Hump Day, one and all :D

    66 down, 34 to go!
  17. Phenomenal progress, Tim! Way to go!

CFG Midnight Stag~~Simpson KH4~~DE-Vette/Wilkinson Light Brigade
The DE-Vette certainly qualifies for a May-hem shave. It may not be as rustic as popsicle sticks,
    but it's a heckuva better-looking tool. :)
Shaved after returning from the dentist, so prep consisted of a splash of water.
Really nice lather from the Midnight Stag.
I stuck with the Wilkinson blade and I did discover, that when loading the blade and reattaching the handle,
I have to look for a click. The snapping sound that indicated the top cap/blade and base have closed together.
    This assures equal blade exposure.
The DE-Vette did some singing today. Nice audible feedback during the stroke.
This razor provides a clean, smooth shave in two passes. WTG/ATG.
Finished with the CF aftershave and not-pictured cologne.

This scent, sadly, has not received the SWMBOSOA. :(
