Tonight's shave was with a wonderful Solingen Made razor, for the French market. I had a silky smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues, from a very well made razor.

    Razor- Puma 69.
Brush- RazoRock 400. High Mountain Badger knot
    Soap- ARKO
    Aftershave- Florida Water

The Merry Mixed Up Month of May!

    May 13

    Razor - 1946-'47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Stirling Bay Rum
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Grade A Silvertip
    Post - Alum

And the day comes to an end. Nice day off and my leg feels good enough to go out tomorrow and beat it into submission again. To finish off a relaxing day I decided to pivot to what I call the "detente setup". This was the razor I switched to in the first month of the 30DC after 5 days of butchering myself on the 1918. So, it follows the 1918 now as well. The Gillette Aristocrat. Great razor in every way. I had obtained this from a member on another forum in my earliest shaving days in November 2014. So, when I need to abandon the aggressive 1918 for the Rule, I just went to this one. I've loved it ever since. And, the Voskhod blade is still tops in my book. So, top of the line American razor and a top of the line Russian blade equals detente! (You younger guys can look that term up)

For the soap it's Stirling Bay Rum and the Wolf to whip it into shape. Three great passes of smoothness and the baby is in the house. Can't get any better than that. Have a great Thursday guys!

    Today's Turkish Thursday Shave;
    • Rocnel 2019 Elite Aggressive
    • Derby Usta (3)
    • Arko Soap in a Bowl
    • Fine Lather Bowl
    • Alpha Shave Co Outlaw Boar
    • Arko Gold AS/EdC
    • Arko Comfort ASB
    • Arko Comfort ASC
    • Homemade Hair Tonic
    • Clubman Firm Hold Pomade
    • Every Man Jack Cedarwood Deodorant
    • Clubman Original Body Powder
First use of the Rocnel. I was thinking it would have more blade feel. I was wrong, but in a good way. Just a great, mild, and close shave.

A pretty comfortable and close shave tonight with the Kai Guard blade matched to the Hawk V3 OC. I may try this again tomorrow . Happy shaves all.
