This is my last shave with the TNAC. I am using the bevelled top and one of my fat stainless handles.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Tom's B-400 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNAC by Tom with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Fougere Friday
Superb shave with Dr. Jon's lather. This soap performs like a champ and has a mild scent. I chose Beaudelaire not because it matches, but just because I love it.

Because my skin is so sensitive these South African soaps are perfect for me - the Rooi Afrikaner is tallow based, I love its mild sweet herbal scent, not only is the lather a pleasure to work up it’s so slick and it has such a soothing sensation on my face - it’s one of Jaco’s finest creations. Although the Nivea Sensitive balm’s scent to me is just barely tolerable it gives a lot of moisturizing and comfort so for that reason I can keep it in my den. The Max Disinfecting aftershave from Bulgaria smells great, it stings like a bugger for a couple of seconds but then it feels fantastic. Do I ever love the Bleu de Chanel - just a couple of sprays last all day for me. Although the Derby blade reached the end, it surprised me with a terrific three pass BBS shave!

First shave after several days off to let my face heal. Sunday's shave was seriously hot and I finally figured out it was due to two days of working outside (sunburn/windburn) and not realizing it since Spring temps here are still cool. It never occurred to me that I was getting slightly burned.

I cannot say enough good about Tabula Rasa Dark Lavender. A deliciously luscious lather is easily achieved with minimal effort and the scent and performance are top notch.

SOTD, Friday, May 15th 2020- Took out my Stick Schick injector with the marathon Twin ll blade and had another shave.
The blade is getting a little more tuggy on shave #31 but still another shave or 2 in it.

Razor : Stick Schick injector L theme series - Mfg 1973- works well with a Twin ll blade.
Blade : Schick twin ll (31) interesting testing this blade- I try to use it once a month, impressed for a blade that has been out but not used consecutively for over a year. Rinse and blow until next session!
Soap: Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore "Firenze"- great scent and excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi tuxedo knot 24 mm "Sagrada Familia" named after a great cathedral in Barcelona Spain.
Pre shave: Shower, brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3+ clean up. - good way to wake a person up in the morning.
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch Hazel + Nivea balm
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= good shave with my Stick Schick injector!

Beautiful shaves over the last two weeks, i used exactly the same setup over and over again, so that's why i haven't posted recently. Fantastic winter set-up, the prep is my standard go to winter balm, i cant use my normal aftershaves in winter because it dries out my skin too much.

Finally binned the derby extra after its 15th shave, ive now switched out the Jagen david for my first razor, the lion DE.
