Gorgeous photo, Clint! The grain on that bowl is amazing! Sorry about the neck, but given the number of BBS shaves you’ve reported recently, I’m sure you have no problem living with it! :)

I used felsthnaptha soap it really helps dry it out. And for the itch I use rhuli spray, but I couldn’t find any this time. I’m one of those people that the cortisone doesn’t do much to help the itch or spread.

Thank you, Jeff! I'm beginning to feel less like an interloper when I stumble into BBS land--I one day hope to get my citizenship there ;)

Randy, I think he’s being very careful to speak as clearly as he can, so he doesn’t slip up and let the “ ‘unduhlyin’ Bensenhoist agsunt slip out! He use tuh hang out at toity toid and toid Avuhnoo”. :D

Randy, I love the ribbing. To my NY state of mind, every accent is Southern or Midwest. Boston is another story. By the way, I don't say Lawnguyland, New Yawk , cawfee or warduh. However, I must admit, when I speak really fast, it does come out every so often. Wait a second! I am a native New Yorker. I always speak quickly! Lol!

Great kit and beautiful photo, Josh! Thank you for all you do! Stay safe and healthy. My son is a paramedic in South Jersey. He caught the virus and was hospitalized and ventilated. They just took him off a few days ago. Be careful!

Gorgeous photo, Jim. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, but it’s getting tougher and tougher to keep up with the sheer volume of these posts.

It is very difficult for me to speak with the stereotypical Brooklyn accent. Now, the actress/comedian Fran Drescher has the classic accent.

I'd rather be singing like Frankie Avalon.

Thanks, Tim. The blade in the DE-Vette is held extremely tight. The curvature of the standard DE razor, curves the blade to create a slicing angle.
The DE-Vette must be canted to approach the slicing angle.

That's why it's your shave, Joe. Maybe I just have too much time on my hands...:signs002:

Good progress so far. I'll post once a week or so.
If I only did my face and not my head I'd probably love this razor. Keeping the best angle is harder around the round noggin.
Just a couple minor repeat weepers on top of head and removed a "spot" on the back. Nothing that would continue to bleed and the redness on my neck continues to lessen, but I think that is still just subsiding from the original brutal first shave a while back which I think actually got a bit of a staph infection. Lesson there: don't keep reusing the same damp towel.

Getting better with it, I have tried all the tips, Light Touch, "Ride the Cap" and now stretching the skin, - which I only need for my neck.
All have improved the shave. I've also cut back to only 2 passes on the neck region, as I'll never have zero irritation going ATG there (which is sideways-in) but now get pretty darn close with 2 passes if I stretch the skin there with this razor.
Also more prep = better shaves but I hope not to become a Diva about it.

If you have any bumps on your head or face, this thing will remove them for you, LOL. I, I've never had great skin. but I feel around first.

Thanks, Jeff. I mentioned it, because it was the only anomaly. Nothing at all. A shavette and a straight are without safety bars...
