Jim, I never responded to the funnel on the aeropress... I don't know how yours is made. However, mine is pretty sturdy plastic (sturdier than my kitchen funnels) and it perfectly fits the bottom of the Aeropress so there aren't potential flipping issues like a normal funnel might have. I know that the directions don't say that it can be used this way, but it works like this was part of the design.

I did find this post by the designer on a coffee forum when someone asked about doing what I just did... "I designed the funnel for transfering grounds from a blade grinder bowl to the AeroPress. The fact that the AeroPress fits the funnel was plain luck. Rasqual, who contributes to the coffeegeek forums, was the first person to tell me about that.

The funnel is made from the same material as the cap and the stirring paddle and is suitable for exposure to hot brew."

Oh well... time to clean up the lab and head on home for a bit before taking daughter to her Monday appointment.

I know what to say about it:

Micah, step away from the internet.
Put down that Karnack krack, go outside and get some fresh air.
NOT some fresh prince of bel-air.
    take in some sunshine.
    then lick a lolly

Actually, Lego Batman is calling my name... I've almost completed the game 100%! Yesterday I unlocked Wayne Manor... now I just have a few more minikit pieces to find on the supervillain side and I'll have the game beat!

Then I guess I'll start on Lego StarWars (the new trilogy--completed the original trilogy this summer).

OH my.. It is really sad that as soon as the song started I remembered the tune and all. Oh well... I was warped by electric company as a kid.

:happy108 YAY... Chase is paid off and the account is now closed. They took over two of my other cards, merged them, jacked up the payments, and have been a pain in the arse for quite a long while.

Now... to go deal with the "customer service" people at La-Z-Boy... I think they take the company name too seriously.

I should have known how the rest of the day was going to be when I was woken up by.....uh.......those people that knock on your door and want to "share" with you..............

If you know who I mean.

I always wonder what happens when door-to-door salespeople knock on "their" doors. :whacky011

oh, wait, I get it! Thanks!
You know the old saying, before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes; then, you're a mile away, and you have their shoes
    which group? there's several....:D
actually, I've always wondered what happens when one of one group visits one of the other groups :D

You name em, I get em.

The guy that used to own this house liked to "discuss" the topic with them. Apparently they thought it was good practice for the just-getting-started doorknockers. So, they'd send them along just for the training. But it's been 2 years! He ain't here no more, and no one here wants to "discuss" the topic.

They have slowed down at least. Used to be like once a week or something, they'd be knocking.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone in this thread knows where to get a video of Death Match; Doorknockers. (I made that name up. I think.)

yeah, we used to have them growing up, we'd try to ignore them, but then we decided we'd let them do their talk, if we got to do ours....they agreed.
Of the one group, that always sends out and experienced member with a newb, the newb left not too sure of himself, the other was a bit perplexed too.
    They've haven't been back.
Oh, it was a very cordial talk, nothing at all antagonistic about it, we had coffee and a great discussion, but I'm sure they left wondering where all the wholes in their boat came from.

The other "main" group was less cordial, didn't want to hear anything we had to share, and were a bit less cordial...we gave them the same respect we show everyone else, dunno what their problem is...oh wait, yes I do...:rofl
give Micah some time, I'm sure he'll find it - I think he has keys to quantum levels of interweb or something, it's amazing the stuff he can find :D

hmmm.. what happens when they meet? Let's consider the possibilities:

    1. they explode in a violent, cataclysmic release of energy similar to when matter meets anti-matter.

    2. they compare notes.

    3. they hold hands and sing kum-by-yah.

    4. they have a no holds barred brawl, which is filmed by passers-by and posted on you tube at a later date.

    5. they act like Baptists in the liquor store. (punch line to a joke).

Take your pick. I'm voting for #5.

EDIT: Forgot one, they complain about those durn Catholics.
