Blade Gold Tonbo Frameback Brush BSSW Soap MDC Agrumes Splash Myrsol Agua Di Limón Balm A&E EDC Acqua Di Parma I don’t know how this could have possibly been a better shave. Maybe if it lasted longer? 1st shave with this razor was smooth as silk and this software all complimented nicely.
Hart razor by James Arman in Lacewood Heavy grind & the mirror polish is very nice. Enjoy your shave. Tom
The Herder leapt out of the razor case today. I don’t pick it up often as I find the stainless steel to be a little more harsh. Maybe that’s just me as I’ve gotten more used to it over time. Today’s shave left a wonderful result. That is terrible. We have turned the corner in South Korea, I hope you experience the same soon and this nightmare ends. My condolences.
Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed. I had a perfect 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. It was like a hot knife through butter, even ATG. Zero issues. This razor has about as thin a grind as I have ever seen. Razor- Dubl Duck "Goldedge", Solingen Germany. Brush- B-400, By Tom(@twhite ), Omega Boar knot. Soap- ARKO stick Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Willys Jeep Decanter.
P Serindat. I used the razor for the last three shaves. I have found little about the maker. Speick shaving stick + proraso green as.
Blades Joseph Fenton & Unknown “Fine India Steel” Brush Yaqi Synthetic Paraphernalia Mason Cash M&P Soap B&M Seville (Menthol added) Splash + EDT B&M Seville Balm Wholly Kaw Rebelle Sheffield vs Sheffield comparison this morning. Both blades honed well though the Unknown razor has a wonky heel on one side as well as the nice “curled” toe. Edges blew my mind as I had low expectations for these 2. Both shaved nicely and performed similarly, though the Fenton is hollow ground (1/4 I’d say) while the Unknown is a wedge of very thin stock. I preferred the Unknown in hand, but only slightly. Anyone know which outfit made this “Fine India Steel” blade?
Taking the ivory Brookes and Crookes user out for a spin. Shaved very well indeed. Soap was 3P lathered with a Keyhole 3, and the AS was Myrsol AB. Yesterday’s shave was #106 on the Filly 14 Sub Cero, which delivered a DFS.
Thank you, Keith!!! We are on the decline now and we are full steam ahead, but saying that we had 3 weeks off at the start but being truck drivers we don't stop.... Very nice Razor Sir!!! And yes they are a very thin grind and can be very sharp, that remove the tops of a mole without even trying. Just don't ask how I know...

Tomo testing today, 2 of 4 from Alex Gilmore. I think the one on the left made a slightly smoother edge, but more testing is needed. Razors are two Gold Monkeys and the hone is a hard asagi suitable for getting more slurry from the tomo. Soap was I Coloniali Mango Oil lathered with a M&F Alibaba and a dab of IC Rhubarb balm finished up a great shave.
Absolutely love this bad boy 2012 “Sheffield” throwback from the master Charlie Lewis. At 8/8 or just under depending upon where you measure, I dig the dip-at-toe look, half-hollow singing grind, and tool grade jimping. The 1095 steel takes a wonderful Jnat edge and patina. Went with my first badger, the Thäter 4125/2. I enjoyed a butter smooth, 2-pass BBS shave with some Alvarez Gomez and wrapped up using Trumper’s Coral skin food. I need to use this blade more often...
Sweet razor. I have a Lewis western grind kamisori. I really like it but haven't been able to get the edge were it should be.
Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor from Germany. I had a fantastically smooth 2 pass shave, no touch-ups, that left me BBS. Zero issues. Fine shaving razor. Two pass wonderful shave this evening. I was a bit absent minded on the first pass and went XTG. I was thinking that the stubble felt unusually heavy. Then I realized what was going on and went with it. This Ragg has a heavy spine and was up to the task. And the smile really made a difference in the more challenging parts.
