The rough Monobilt I was going to use for parts or replate arrived covered in rust. It cleaned up great with very few issues. I'm 99% sure I get better razors looking for parts than most people get when looking for mint. You just can't win.
I just bought this Cooper monobilt off of the bay. It looks like the end hooks and interior pin were removed and a machined hole was made to screw into the interior screw. I glued the inside assembly and now have a solid working razor. I like the color contrast and it works well. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Unbranded, probably another Cooper (?) Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
That one was proven to be a Cooper and not s Sweedo a couple of pages back in this thread. There are some posts with pictures of that razor and box it came in.
That is definitely a new one to me also. I did a bit research on Coopers and never came across a gold plated Kant Rust or that style handle. Only thing I can say for sure is if it isn't some cheap pot metal or casted then it should be made sometime after 1945.
Yeah I checked ads for a gold Kant-Rust rust and came up empty. Several others came with weird handles. There are few reasons why someone would keep a small collection from the 40s containing 9 Coopers, I presume the owner had some connection with Cooper or distributor. The 2 handles on the right I don't think came with those razors. I've had that handle before and it came with a totally different razor. Other tip off it is probably not original to the Cooper is the handle shoulder where it threads onto the Cooper baseplate is larger the rounded porton. Usually they are the same size or smaller on the handle compared to the base plate.
I'm sure none of those were marketed with those handles. The ones on the left are aluminum, one fits pretty much like stock, the other a bit mismatched. But as I said I doubt this owner (RIP) went to the drugstore and purchased nine Coopers just because he liked them. The lot came from Oregon which explains nothing except the appearance of the Krect.
