Yeah it is. It is the precursor to the Merkur Progress. Well maybe not this model but the earlier versions without any logos on the razor head are. This one far as I know would have been produced 1955 or later.

it's not so much the soap as refills do come up,but the shipping sucks.almost a turn off.and then the exchange rate.at least with a cool hardware purchase one can recoup the $$..its just soap in the end..
