Amazing photo and gear, Jim! Don't know how a synthetic cooling agent differs from menthol, but anything that comes with a warning label most definitely falls into the spirit of a Menthol Monday shave as far as I'm concerned :D

Looking at the art work on the soap has me wondering if this is an homage to Dan Simmons' Novel The Terror. If so, the good folks at B&M seem to lean towards a Gothic horror type of vibe.

    What's the opposite of mayhem?
    Answer: The above-pictured set-up.
Finally finished yet another puck of vintage Williams, but have no fear, my friends,
Primo is well-stocked with his favorite, vintage soap. Well, I have a few and Williams
    is simply amongst them.

Once again, I went with a boar brush. Honestly, when I consider the moolah I have poured out
over the years on some admittedly gorgeous Badger brushes, I think how I could have
purchased a $30 Mondial and been completely satisfied.
Let this be a lesson to you :whacky024: 's.
Third and final shave with the Gillette Platinum. I am not pushing my luck with this blade.
Together with the Game Changer, I got a superlative shave, baby smooth and without issue.
J.B. Williams Aqua Velva for the win.

    Thanks, Tim!
I don't know how the synthetic cooling agent works either. It is nice though that I get the chilling effect of menthol without the scent or the watering eyes.

Oh, and B&M spells it Gothique.
Great shave, Joseph! Congrats finishing off the Williams!

    M-bombed Stirling Arkadia AS
IMG_4850.jpg Changed out the Merkur for another blade that I've neglected lately. The Wizamet, however, is an outstanding blade and I've probably neglected it for the simple reason that I'm on my last tuck. Oh well, lots of good blades out there (most of them from St Petes, fwiw:)).
Kept going with the JAWS, whipped up a great lather in one of my favourite scents and had 3 excellent passes. Buffed a bit on my neck, paid for it with a touch of irritation, but was rewarded with complete smoothness. As Keith would say, Epic.
    Have a great day all!
