  4. Awesome set up, report, and photo, Jason! The scent profile for the software is one of my favorites as well, and an M-bombed version sounds fantastic. :D

Today is Memorial day and we honor men who have given their lives for this country. What better way to honor them with an old fashioned straight shave and shaving soap scent. I prepped my beard by wetting my face with the brush and then adding bloom water. This brush has a habit of shedding but not today. The brush was wet enough to give me a nice, shiny and cushiony lather. I would say it was picture perfect. I took it slow because I really wanted to enjoy this shave and take in the Bay Rum's marvelous scent! Two and half passes gave me a near BBS shave. On my fool's pass a tiny weep was apparent and on my last pass, I landed on my underchin to produce a minimal nick. I don't shave with my glasses so I infrequently misland (is that a word?) in that area. Styptic pencil fixed it without any telltale signs. Liberally splashed the aftershave and topped it with the Nivea. I look, feel and smell great! Have a nice holiday guys!

Thanks, Clint. It is quite satisfying, indeed.
Boars are anything but boring, Tim. ;)
:signs002: Mmmmm...except for the scent, the experience---for me, is exactly the same.

  15. Thank you Gary, all was top-notch again. I'm beginning to wonder if the Stoylin bodywash is giving me a better pre-shave than others I use.

  19. Glad you enjoyed it, Myles! They are all great shavers! And if you’re looking for a sure fire winner for a new Gem shaver that is available quite cheaply, I would check out the Gem Featherweight! I’ll be shaving with mine tomorrow.
  20. Thanks, Joe!
