The Merry Mixed Up Month of May! May 28 Razor - The Wunderbar Blade - Soap - Stirling Sheep Brush - 30DC LE Post - Alum Just a few days left in May. Seriously.....where did this month go?! Time to roll out another razor and I figured I might as well go aggressive. Say hello to the Wunderbar. This slant is a beauty. Heavy, great gap and really brings a smooth shave in fast! I love the feel as this thing works and when you put a Sharp Star in it, well, it doesn't get any better than that. With a big, heavy, aggressive razor like this it doesn't hurt to have a little extra protection, so I pulled out the Stirling Sheep. Mutton tallow baby. Slick, cushy, just gorgeous lather when whipped up with the 30DC LE brush. I had no issues at all with the Wunderbar and got a very near BBS on two passes. I decided I'd leave it at that. The alum was 99% quiet and that's what I call success! Hope you had a great Thursday. Friday starts in a few hours which means it's almost WEEKEND TIME!! Have a great one.

2020-05-29, Friday After tonight's borborygmi, I expected a gray and rainy morning: gray it has been for a while, but, of rain, not a trace! But it's deliciously cool, like in the mountains, with sun and wind: it reminds me of a trip to Alpe di Siusi about seventy years ago, with my parents. But... cameras pull funny tricks sometimes. Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Derby day 7 Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS Stirling Glacial Wintergreen ASB Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH Bleu de Chanel EdP What a great killer cold shave this was in spite of the Derby blade being on its last legs. The Glacial Wintergreen soap as always performed like a champ, its heavenly scent filled my bathroom, and the menthol sensation had me almost shivering. The matching balm and witch hazel were equally frigid and they both gave me such perfect postshave care. Three passes gave me that BBS result that I wanted! Switched over to Mennen Skin Bracer for the aftershave, but repeated with Gillette Foamy Menthol from Thursday. Good combo for this real warm day today(the added bit of humidity makes it kind of unseasonable). Good shave all-around. I noticed I was too "casual" in the "mustache" area, and I solved that by shaving off what I missed, but with no Foamy. Pretty gutsy I suppose. Now I can go on TV and paraphrase the Rise line by saying "Now if I can do that WITHOUT Gilette Foamy and water-just imagine what I could do WITH Gillette Foamy and water." I almost got a Niagra Falls pouring the Skin Bracer into my hand, so I decided to do my face AND neck with one "pass". The more the merrier on a day like today. No cuts/weepers. Very Excellent.
