AoS Tallow Unscented~~Parker~~Gillette/Feather
Mayhem, "We don't need no stinkin' mayhem"
One would think that someone, who has become fairly adept with using a straight razor
would sail, unsullied, through a Gillette Tech shave.
Au contraire, mon frère.
But let's start with the lather, shall we
As far as I know, the AoS tallow hard pucks came in 4 different scents.
Sandalwood, Lemon, Lavender and Unscented.
Today, I chose the Unscented.
This version is BY FAR the most difficult to find on the aftermarket.
The lather is typical of these pucks and while I anticipated a more difficult load
with the Parker, after a good blooming, my concerns were abated.
Voilà


To call this soap completely unscented would be incorrect. There is a definite smell of soap and tallow.
Unobtrusive, to be sure, but it's mos def© there.
Third and last shave with the Feather blade which was combined with a British #44 FB Tech.
Got a little aggressive, shaving against the grain on my chin and paid the piper with
a small abraded area. No blood, per se, but a 2mm square of raw skin.
Nothing to whine about and the rest of the shave was outstanding.
Not pictured is my post-shave.
Today, I splashed on some medicated Thayer's (thanks, @timabababaluka )
Then, I took a large drop of Santa Maria Novella Patchouli cologne and
mixed it with a dollop of Stirling Unscented Glacial ASB.
Veddy nice, indeed. ​

 

Now that looks delicious. I would see this after skipping breakfast.

Another great shave with this hardware again this morning. The software wasn't too shabby either- I'm a huge fan of the Jeeves lather and the Florida Water isn't too far behind, especially loaded with Menthol and some glycerin to add to the great scent.
Can we fast forward 9 hours or so and call Friday done?

Definitely Jeff! Yesterday was a scorcher but I got the pool re-levelled , cleaned and almost filled . Today is the fun part with hooking up the pump and rest of little things . Made her happy!
