Ok gang, help me out here...

Does anyone remember a line of toys in the 80's that was monsters made out of this sticky, rubbery stuff. Their arms and legs were separate pieces that stuck together. For some reason, I remember them being purple, green, and maybe orange. They kind of remind me of those wall crawling toys we used to get from vending machines, only bigger.

edit: Nevermind, found them through the powers of "the google"! Manglors FTW!

I like the look of the Tuckaway too, but something about the spindles calls to me.
I'd been looking for one of the vintage examples, but they seem to be either suffering from cracks in the barrel, bent teeth, or collector price syndrome.

    I remember those.
I think I had an Incredible Hulk action figure made out of that same stuff.
As you described it; sticky, rubbery, a little like Play-Doh, but it held its shape.

normally, I wouldn't say anything about it...but in light of recent issues, I'm going to proclaim it:

I'm recovering from an illness this weekend. The good thing about it is that I got caught up on movies, including Cool Hand Luke and XMen Origins: Wolverine, as well as play my new PC game, The Movies. Lots of fun. :happy088

oh, I forgot to mention, I acquired some Master's Bay Rum yesterday. How? Easy, went to Sally's Beauty supply to pick up some barbicide. Decided on Hydrocide instead, a little cheaper. Decided, while I'm here....

why was I there? Because my daughter had dance practice in Texarkana.
Why does she have dance practice in Texarkana on Sunday afternoons?
Because she tried out and made it for The Nutcracker recital, big area-wide thing that has girls (and some boys I reckon) from all around the area.
but now we have to add another hour of driving to the week (round trip, at least).
when is the lovely recital, you ask? first weekend of December.
why is that a big deal? well, it's awesome she made it into the recital, but she's also just gotten to the youngest age they start taking them, and the parts for them - angels, mice, etc, - aren't really highly contested. Still, not everyone makes it, so it's a big deal.
But why, oh why, does it have to fall on the weekend of our annual family reunion/Natchitoches Christmas lights and fireworks get-together???
she was devastated to find that out, and almost dropped out, but decided to stay in. No, me and mommy did not persuade her with the >$100 we've already spent on registration, costume, etc., she thought about it and decided on her own.

now, I'm debating going on in to work now, seeing as most of the work-day is gone...

That isn't upside-down and backwards. The letters, well some, are backwards, but that makes them not letters in the English alphabet. And that isn't the same backwards as you used at the beginning of the post. :rolleyes005 Which must be why I had trouble with only the last sentence.

    Do double backwards!

    watched "Popeye" the movie yesterday.

There's sort of a shaving scene in the opening few minutes... a bunch of guys poke their heads out of the barbershop as Popeye goes walking by. One of them is lathered up and the barber is holding a straight.

    I'm such a shave nerd.

OK.. I don't get it, I keep trying to read it back and forth trying to figure out what is spelled there. huh... I must be obtuse today... Is that just a rouse and we are supposed to laugh at the water splashing up from the wheel? Is that it... its a conspiracy against people who can't simply answer questions???
