  5. sir! no, sir! the boy will be raised with an appreciation for meat. It's in his genes now, since he was born in rural, southern Mississippi. Those Yankees will never understand him.
  6. sweet. now all we need is a Williams Mug/ Colgate puck appreciation society. I think Calvin and I would be the only members...
  7. So what is your favorite OS scent? I like the original the best of course.

  8. Ain't it the truth. I got enough to use for quite a while.. there is not any Cologate left close around here.

  12. Was gonna go to bed, until I saw the red spot on my right foot.

What is it? Where'd it come from? When did it show up? It's right on the knuckle (do toes have knuckles?) between the second toe and middle toe. And it's really red, maybe a bit purplish. But it doesn't hurt. I wouldn't think friction would be a possibility. Ulcer maybe?

Oh, and my sister called me the other day. My brother-in-law, who is a year older than me, just had part of his foot removed due to him not taking care of his diabetes. And he has Type 2. For the past 5 - 7 years.

So maybe this spot isn't anything, but I've been Type 1 diabetic 22 years this Christmas. The eye problems obviously mean "it"s starting, I don't know if I can handle "it". :sad029

Ok, I need to go do something mindless. I'm way too upset over a little red spot. :ashamed001
  13. If it starts itching or developing lines, it could be a spider bite.

You know... just trying to look on the bright side..
  14. Thanks. :o

I rubbed alum and alcohol on it to see if the skin was broken at all. No burn or anything.
  15. Well, here's hoping it's nothing worth worrying about.

I'm sitting here at work, wishing my vacation were a little closer.
  16. It probably is nothing to worry about. I'm just a bit of a hypochondriac when these kind of things happen. Putting it out there has helped ease my mind a bit, though. :o Probably not enough to get some sleep, but <shrug> ehhh..... whatcha gonna do?

Guess I could wait for goatshaver to show up with the beer. Oh wait, I don't like beer.

Va-ca-tion? What is this word you speak of?
  17. Don't ask me... I barely ever take actual time off besides the days off I get on my work rotation.
This was actually the girlfriend's idea... and I'm thankful.
Someone giving me the motivation to get my arse out of town for a change and do something besides just hanging around Austin is exactly what I need.
  18. Ok, well I'll expect a full report on my desk when you get back.

    Where you going?
  19. Oh, thought I mentioned last week.
We're driving out to Ft Davis (deep West Texas) to spend a couple of days at a nice historic hotel, visit such attractions as the McDonald Observatory, the Luz de Estrella winery, and maybe see the Marfa lights.
Most of all, just spending some time together without social demands, weird work schedules, or other stuff interrupting.
    ;)
