back at work now, figured why waste the afternoon. I already missed all of yesterday, durn it.

wife stayed home with son for the afternoon, soonest the local clinic said they could see him was 3, so figured I'd get some more things finished up since I'll likely miss a day or two here soon.

 

what's the deal with so many folks removing their avatars lately?

 

Sooooo.... I should just stick to my regular afternoon routine then? OK.

 

Well, normally that'd be fine, but we've only got enough treasure/prizes for 12 kids... counting your two... But I'll check with TWGW and see what we can do.

oh joy...MLB just texted, Dr. said son does have H1N1...I wonder how they tell so quick? Everything else takes them weeks upon weeks....

They don't. They just diagnose it and move on. All they can tell for sure is that it is the flu. Then they just push it through as h1n1, but it's just as likely that it's flu A.

 

that's truly what I figure anytime there's a major outbreak of something somewhere, just assume what it is.
I can understand somewhat, from the perspective of getting swamped with folks that need to be seen...but then "assuming" just pisses all over the Hippocratic Oath, doncha think?

and, the media knows no other way to report other than:

A) make mountains out of molehills
or
B) make molehills out of mountains

they can't get anything right....with the exception of when something is very new, breaking news, and they don't have much information = less info for them to distort

 

It's getting chilly in the Dakota's..... I'm not quite ready for winter yet.
Now if there was a fan big enough to blow some of that warm southern air this far up north.

The threat of "snow" is making the news now the last few days so I just keep telling my kids to quit cussin.
