I recently went apple picking and got a bunch of Empires. Never had them before, but boy were they delicious.

They were genetically engineered by the University of Minnesota.

And, if I do say so myself, the best thing to happen to apples since pie & ice cream.

 

I've been ill the passed few days, but the good thing was I got caught up on some movies. I watched The Big Lebowski for the first time yesterday. Wow. What a movie.

Looks like we are gonna go camping for Halloween.. this will be different. Camping near the Lake Michigan Shore on Nov 1st, when there is already snow in the forecast!

I guess its time to find out if the heater works in that old rickety camper.

hey, I'm going camping on Halloween too! Domino camp, something men on my in-laws' side have done for years upon years upon years. This year it just happens to fall on halloween.
We rent a big cabin, and nothing but dominoes, food, and fellowship for the weekend....reminds me, I need to google antique stores in the area, this'll be my first year I get to go for the whole weekend, and not just Friday night

Well the grandmother is in Jackson in the Hospital again. Some of you that see me on face book might have seen the kin talking about it. She had a brain tumor that is apparently maybe getting big enough to cause seizures... Has lost most of her hearing appears. It doesn't rain but it pours. So I am off to run some errands that my mom left unfinished when she dashed to MS last night. Should be back on later.
