Jen, looks like you have a busy weekend there.

Tonight will be interesting: Father in law will probably be waiting in the apartment by the time I get home from work. He will take daughter to their place for the weekend. :happy093 Change and wait for wife to get home and change then off to a charity thing for one of the places that work with autistic kids. First hour in open bar, but then dinner and dancing. My wife danced with me once (the only time I have ever danced in my life) and told me never again. So hopefully that first hour will make the last 5 hours go a little better.

Sounds like a fun evening in store there Justin! An evening sans child is always a bonus when they are being taken care of properly and you have no worries about them. Amazing how an open bar can make a horrible dancer into Fred Astaire. (well at least in spirit)

Well.. I don't intend on dancing. I won't let the open bar take me that far... just enough to take the edge off. So how is the recovery going today?

    Morning, how goes it?

We both had a good nights sleep, well I did anyway, she is still in bed so I suspect she is sleeping well. Doctor said the stitches are all good, she didn't pop one, must have been a pool of blood in the cavity that squirted out between the stitches that caused the blood and pain.

I survived the storm! It's crazy, high winds, rain, floods, electricity is out...

Thanks. It has been pretty rotten.

    I hope so.
I took it in to Advance Auto and they scanned it. It said "Manufacturer Control Transmission" which means nothing to me, but having just had a transmission go out, I am going to have it checked.

Looks like a 1930s Aristocrat. Went cheaper than I would have expected.

    Oh, and Good morning!

    Can't beat that.

    Wow, stay safe.

That don't sound good, definitely have it checked out. Has the transmission been slipping at all? Checked the tranny fluid level and color?

    Oh yeah, morning!

I just dropped it off at the dealer. My wife is the daily driver of it, I haven't been behind the wheel often, but it seems to shift OK. I don't know the car well enough to know if the feel is normal or not though. The level of the fluid looks good, but I don't know about the color. Looks good to me, but I was checking it in the garage with a flashlight last night.
I just had a transmission go out in a Honda a little while ago, so apparently I am good at causing transmission problems. I hate automatics.

Best of luck to you, hope it is something minor.

Rodd, what everyone else said.. hope that gets fixed easily and correctly (and without cutting into shaving money).

Okay, this is a tad tasteless, but I totally could see this happening when I was in school. We had a kid just like this in my class.

I'll hide it under a spoiler, because it might, just might offend the super-easily offended.

At first I thought you were just pulling a prank.. the spoiler was blank. But then I realized it was another blocked pic. I will have to check it out tonight. Oh well.. time to go back to grading unit tests.

    Nice Occam edit!

Not particularly, just wondering what is good in your lives today. There is so much negative around these days. I am just trying to switch the focus around to the positive things.

Sorry, I read that as "Define 'Good.'"

Well, let's see... I'm positive that it's Friday, and I don't have to come in to work tomorrow! That's pretty good. Starting to feel a little better, the sinus stuff is beginning to straighten out. How about you?
