  11. I see lots of Taconic shave products on Amazon all the time. Try looking there too. I've tried a sample of their bay rum shave cream and I enjoyed it. I may have to look into the tequila lime; it sounds nice.

  15. I have this same shave cream, but I transferred from the original jar to an Ikea Grundtal tin to make it easier to lather up. One thing I noticed that is missing on this label that I had on my jar is the agave tequila. Possible misprint on the label? Anyway, The Tequila Lime and Bay Rum have been a standard in my den for 7 years now.

  17. Hot, and humid today gents. At this time of year, with this weather, I like a soft badger brush, with a plain
    alcohol splash.
    Shave Secret PSO
    Simpson Colonel X2L
    Masters vanishing menthol crime.
    Q Shave scuttle
    37 slant
    Shark chrome.
    Dickinson’s Whitehead hazel (as always)
    Gabels Bay Rum

Slant is perfect for a 1 pass ‘work’ shave.
Masters vanishing menthol is perfect in the heat, cools, but the scent ‘vanishes’.
Gabels is perfect for the heat. Pure Bay Rum, no cinnamon. A great summer Bay Rum.
    Perfect for the ‘situation’.
  18. interesting..slight reformation maybe? the scent is divine..will be a staple in my den as well:)..
    awesome shave and pic..:)

  19. Just the Basics June!

    June 7

    Razor - CJB Kamisori
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Fine Italian Citrus
    Brush - The Canuck
    Post - Alum

It's Sunday which is my usual head shave day on the weeks I decide to do it. Well, tonight was one of those nights. Trying to think basic and having a couple weeks growth up there, I decided my most basic pain stick would do the trick. The CJB Greager. What makes it more basic than my Feather DX, SS or Kai Captain? Not much, really except the materials that it is made of and the nice inexpensive price tag. Uses the same Feather Pro blades I almost always use in the pain stick boys, so no difference there. One difference, though, was my decision to use it for my face shave as well.

For the head shave I used the VDH Boar brush and Arko for the soap. For my face shave I went with the Fine Italian Citrus and Canuck brush. Both head and face shaves went flawlessly with the CJB and I ended with a chromed dome and a near-BBS below the dome. Great time shaving my entire head with the same pain stick. Fun stuff too! Alum was amazingly quiet on my face and neck. No, I didn't use it on my head.

Another week lies ahead of us and I hope it's a great second week of June for everyone! Hang in there - it can only get better, right? (I know, it's 2020....duck and cover) Have a magnificent Monday!
