    Great shave and photos, Tim!
The Aluminum Lupo is a mighty fine razor.

sure,in about 6 months when they show up,when they do i will,it's part of gillette history so i at least want to have a couple of the significant ones, one open comb ,one safety bar.it is a nice shaver.but,i have no intension of looking for a toggle.not into adjustables..:D..and still firmly set on my favorites..i love my mustangs, but like to test drive a corvette once in a while..;)

Thank you, Jim! I have really enjoyed using the Lupo (even though my shavette focus is keeping me from using it as often as it truly deserves to be used; it was a wonderful surprise from Andrew that I'm only just now getting to appreciate :D

Thanks, Tim! They are great razors. I prefer them to fly under the radar though so I can keep buying them cheap... :happy088:

Fantastic shaves this week, Tim! Great report for Sunday too. I think I may have to get some of those Frost Drops.

Thank you, Andrew! While I'm not the full-scale hardcore menth-head (Jeff @jgreenepa enjoys that title and may even be the committee chair), I do enjoy having the option to add some when I feel so inclined--which is almost always ;)

Thanks Tim! Spine wear is when the spine is uneven because pressure on the razor was uneven. Sometimes, it is done on purpose because the razor's edge was chipped or the geometry was wobbly. Most of the time, it was due to poor honing technique over many decades.

Thanks guys! I would be on cloud 9 if I get a decent edge.

Thank you Andrew! Realistically, I really only want to get this Elliot to shave because it is a challenge and a friend blessed me with it. It was given to him by a friend, but he is not a straight shaver. He didn't realize that the blade was in poor shape when I pointed out the problems. However, I said that I would keep, but it wouldn't be worth it for me to have it professionally restored. Quite frankly, most professionals would not do it. The blade is really too small to use as a regular shaver, but if I had facial hair, then I would use it for straightening the lines of the beard or mustache. Of course, it's assuming that I can get a decent edge.

Loving your Stirling shaves Tim. Hope the upcoming week is not as busy.

It is a back to work Monday so it is safety razor shave day. A new entrant to the den is MWF. I tried MWF early in my traditional shaving journey and it was hit and miss for me. Picked a Thäter silver tip to give the soap a good shot today. MWF performed great and the Asylum RX loaded with a Feather Pro glided over my face. An excellent shave.

Thanks, Joe! Tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday should be less busy (summer school distance learning orientation for 7 hours each day), but things are definitely slowing down.

I try to limit myself to 3 soaps, and they're all Stirling right now, so every shave is a Stirling shave. Won't lie, though, Razorock's got a special that nets you one each of the Blue, Green, Gold, and Black Label triple milled pucks--get all 4 for $12. I'm tempted, but that more than doubles my den allowance. I fear I'm fighting a losing battle. :D

Awesome photo and report, Keith! I don't recall seeing an Asylum razor before--it's a work of art :D

Looks like the MWF is working out for you now. Do you think your past difficulties was a result of physical issues like water type, or do you think they stemmed from a lack of experience?
