My wife questions my wisdom as well. This coming from a person that had over 100 pairs of shoes when I married her almost 14 years ago. Yet, she tells me I have an addiction and that my stuff needs to go on birth control. To be fair, she has downsized her shoe collection a little.

Beautiful photo and fantastic info on the Goodwill, Jason--Gillette was in the game for so long and put out so many razors that I get pretty lost trying to figure out what I'm looking at when I see them. I find it amazing that folks were only paying for the blades rather than the razor. That's awesome :D

It's bad when the Missus shows restraint--usually means you are about to as well ;)

While she never fully bought into the cult of Konmari, my wife did see the benefits of exterminating the massive amount of clutter that 11 people in one house begin to accumulate, and used many of the organizational concepts. It's hard getting rid of stuff--even rarely used stuff--but it's nice being able to quickly get to the stuff that remains :D

    Shavette Shave #89

    Gear
    • Razor: Utopia Care shavette
    • Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux (2)
    • Brush: Stirling Finest Badger
    • Soap: Stirling Glastonbury (2 Frost Drops added directly to lathered brush)
    • Menthol: Stirling Frost Drops
    • AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue (1 Frost Drop added)
    • Balm: Stirling Glacial Unscented

    The Shave
Face lathered again today for a three pass (WTG, XTG, ATG) shave.

Don't know if my prep was off, or if the Rapira was struggling at the end of its 2nd shave, but things started to get a bit tuggy by the 2nd pass today. Not horribly, but enough to keep me wary. By the end of the 3rd pass I realized I was better off sticking with a DFS rather than pushing the envelope for touch ups that probably wouldn’t yield results that outweighed the risk of continuing--discretion is the better part of valor, no? ;)

Have a terrific Tuesday, all! :D

    89 down, 11 to go!

My wife thought the whole picture thing was weird at first too. I started asking her opinion about my pictures and showing her the options. Now she helps me color coordinate every now and then. She didn't even bat an eye when I asked her to make flight reservations to go to St. Louis this past summer.
    Great looking shave!
    Awesome, Joe! Love the brush!
