Acceptable shave.

I've grown a goatee during "social isolation," and I've left some stubble on my cheeks. Today was the first day I've shave my cheeks in over two months. The razor/blade combo did a decent job on them. If I could get this acceptable of a shave with some vintage razors, I'd be a happy man.

Yesterday I mentioned the Q Shave is an accident waiting to happen when loading a blade. Today, the cap and blade flew off while I was tapping the water out of it onto a towel. No one was hurt.

The Pinaud Lime Sec is amazing. It will give Osage Rub a "run for the money" as my go-to this summer. It fades to a slight, clean scent, not nearly as powerful as Clubman. My wife said I smelled like a margarita. (That's a good thing.)

 

I've missed what's going on, but with all these guys praying for you, I'll jump in the ring, too. You're being prayed for.

 

Is the Burley vintage, or something new?

Razor: Gillette old type with a tech handle- Mfg 1920's- this razor reminds me to be grateful for what I have because the previous owner had not much looking at the handle that it came with in his shaving gear.
Blade: Gillette 7oClock SP black(3) Great DE blade, sharp & smooth but longevity might be shorter than some blades.
Soap: TOBS Sandal wood - Great scent with reasonable lather qualities.
Brush: Razorock 24 mm Plissoft- I like using this synthetic still, great brush all the way around in scrub,painting & display. It seems to be holding up well after 3 1/2 years of use also.
Preshave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a small dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pick ups.
Post shave: Proraso red Sandal wood with witch Hazel + a small dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = great shave with my Gillette old type & Gillette 7oClock.
