Anyone have or know where I can get an older Cella Shave cream/soap container, full or empty or anywhere in between. I do not like the look of the current Cella bowl/container with the balding, foamed-up and white-moustache-faced old fellow --no offense to anyone out there that actually looks like that. I just happen to like the look of the older container and would like to have one.
Hi, same here I prefer the old style container with text only on the lid. Have tried to buy on Amazon as the image showed the old style but the item received is the new style, now have 2 new style tubs. Not complaining as it is a great soap but I'd like an old style for my display collection. Any luck in acquiring one or any ideas where to get?
I did get a used empty one of the old style, thanks to a generous friend on this site. Maybe someone else has one of those they could part with -- who knows. The old one is the same shape and lid thread as the new-style Cella vessel. One can simply put the old lid on a new Cella jar. However, the old color is ever so slightly more "maroon" than the new one, so I simply heated a new full Cella jar under hot tap water, flexed the container sides around a bit, and popped out the whole lump of shave soap intact. It took some patience. I pressed that into the old container, and voi la! a full container of Cella in the old package. Best wishes on your hunt for an old-style Cella container.
