    Mediterráneo~~Mondial~~'47 Super-Speed/Voskhod~~SMN Peau d'Espagne
The weekend is here and it's
    time for another shave!
Once more, I lathered up the Mediterráneo, this time with a straight face-lather.
Results were lovely and as always, there is less air incorporated into the lather,
but at the same time, lather can tend to dryish. I have taken to adding H2O to the breech of the knot.
Fresh Voskhod in the 1947 Super-Speed and the shave was smoother than yesterday.
I have a few samples of Santa Maria Novella and I chose to try their version of
Spanish Leather: Peau d'Espagne, first introduced in 1901.
Top notes: Bergamot, carnation and jasmine.
Heart notes: neroli, cedar violet leaf and hawthorn.
    Bass notes: birch and civet.
    Very woodsy and intriguing scent.

Even with only a "pretty excellent" result by your standards, sounds like a fine shave Paul.

Fine shave, Joseph. The Stirling unscented Glacial balm is excellent and has a very healing feel to me.

Excellent shave Jeff! I think we all have the same wonderful "problem" in choosing a razor to shave.

IAMCDB, a YouTuber and formerly known as the Teleshavangelist (TSE) recently reviewed the soap and said that it was a strong awesome scent. Glad you enjoyed it and had a great shave Jim!

Nice shave Paul! This morning I had a soupy lather so I just added more soap to get the lather to my standard. I would suggest that you do the same.

good morning gents, second go with the new sc/platinum shorty.rainy out again so i succumbed to an autumn scent.fabulous gentleman lather built with the omega boar, resulting in a fine bbs in 2+ passes.gentleman aftershave to finish.awesome..got the case cleaned up.unfortunately the upper lid liner will need work due to rust stains from the old carbon blades that rusted from water damage.maybe a reline down the road.at least the razor and case survived.have a fine day everyone..

Good morning guys! It's the Saturday Special Shave!

    Shavette Shave #164
    Dovo Shavette
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (4)
    JR #386 Silvertip Badger
    Stirling Sandalwood SS and AS

It's a special shave because my gear starts with an S except for the Rockwell blade. JR doesn't start with an S but it is ok because it has a Silvertip knot. Ok, enough of this frivolous talk.
the JR #386 is my favorite brush because it is soft and gives me such a great lather. The Sandalwood scent is very mild and soothing to my nose. I made the lather a little to wet so I just added more soap to get it to my liking. Did a 2.5 pass and some touchups for an IBSS++ without any dramatic openings by the Red Brigade or appearances by Richie Rash and his Band of Not Ready for Prime Time Players. However, I did bin the blade after only 4 shaves. It is rare that I bin a blade after so few shaves, but it wasn't feeling too sharp because I had to do some major touchups to get a nice shave. Applied a double dose of the matching aftershave and I am good to go. Have a nice Saturday fellas! 20200612_172329.jpg 20200612_172329.jpg
