    ehhhh..LADIES and uh GENTLEMEN:

Welcome to the 3rd Stoylin Tony Awards Nominations event of this season. This comes just as Doc Ezlovan put out his most recent products. Sticking to the rules, they won't be eligible for a nomination this season, although ironically I just put in an order for two of the bath soaps. All right then, as we honor Flag day, in the memory of Frank S. Key(perhaps better known as Francis Scott Key), who did the words to our National Anthem, for the Star-Spangled Flag(er banner), here we go.............

    And the nominees ARE:

    A.S.-Scots Pine Sheep
    Bath Soap-Hipster.

    See ya in August!!!

    Hello all,

After reading many pages of Stirling threads and reviews I placed an order for samples. They arrived a few days ago and so far I’ve tried Unscented with Beeswax, Stirling Spice, Gentleman, and Sheep.

Unscented with Beeswax gave me a fantastic shave with zero irritation - really impressive.

Unfortunately Spice gave me some irritation by the 3rd pass. I don’t see this one becoming something I can use with any regularity.

Gentleman was a very pleasant aroma, and the shave quality was excellent - this could easily become part of my rotation.

Having said all that, it was Sheep that absolutely blew me away tonight! I have never had such a close, comfortable, and irritation free shave that left my face feeling like I’d already applied a balm! I was truly impressed by this soap, and have had zero irritation from it (which seems to be a rare thing for me sadly). I will certainly be purchasing a full tub of this soap in the future!

Anyhow, I just wanted to share my excitement as I begin my Stirling journey. I finally get why so many are so loyal to this brand and to the people behind it.

    Cheers.

    EDIT:

Wanted to add a list of all of the samples that I ordered:

    Executive Man
    Mountain Man
    Sharp Dressed Man
    Gentleman
    Stirling Spice
    Scots Pine
    Barbershop
    Sandpiper
    Sheep
    Unscented with Beeswax

    Menthol Monday:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Wilkinson day 3
    Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS
    Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB
    B&M Arctique AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP
    Kisses from my lovely wife

In complete contrast to the approaching winter in South Africa the hot summer is coming here to Canada so I wanted to gear up for it with some of my coldest stuff - even the mentholated pre-shave soap from Stirling has more than enough menthol in it to put a good chill in it and it does such a great job of cleaning the skin and softening up the beard, it protects against dryness, and it adds so much slickness. The Glacial Obsidian soap’s black licorice scent is beautiful, the lather is so rich, mega slick as well as mega frigid, and the skincare is so wonderful. The Glacial Unscented balm felt so icy cold, not to mention how moisturizing and soothing it was, while the Arctique aftershave brought the freeze to another level and although it smells lovely the scent moves out of the way for the Bleu de Chanel which has become my favorite fragrance. Three passes got rid of my tough stubble and left me as smooth as a baby’s tukhis!

Have a great week - be safe and healthy!

I recommend Sandpiper-great "cologne clone". I have Gentleman and Spice, and, like you, I had issues with Spice(more with the aftershave than the soap). With Gentleman, I just have the aftershave, but I happen to have a soap with nearly the same features, thus the two make a good team.

Awesome news! Stirling's mutton tallow formula is fantastic--I got their Scots Pine Sheep a couple years back, and am currently burning my way through Glastonbury (which is also a mutton tallow base). Great stuff :D

That's such good news - Sandpiper was actually part of my sample order! It's sitting on the shelf waiting to be tested...

I actually have a sample of Scots Pine as well! I am hoping that it works well for my face, as the scent seems less complex. After testing the Sheep, I am very excited for Scots Pine.

From my first sample set, Sandpiper jumped out at me. Clear top choice. Gentleman was second.
