Well I would have to call that shave a success. At first it was a little tuggy but I also had a few days growth . Stropped about 40 on leather then another 15 on canvas. Kept going back to the canvas during the shave which seem to make things smoother . Not sure if I did things right but no cuts or blood and after running the DE over the top received no feedback. Thats my test of any open blade shaves . Avoided the under the nose area as my blade is quite wide and will use my other straight there next time . The new 1%er soap and AS left me with a nice pleasant tobacco scent and was slick and gave great cushion. Very pleased with my purchase and the shave results ! I've got a ways to go in the stropping dept but thats the fun part of it all. Feel a sense of accomplishment when I can prep my blade and get good results.
