Great shave and work Patrick! There is a pretty active thread right now in the TSD Straight Razor section, Pasted Strops/Strop Paste. Lots of good info, not just about pasted strops (although it does lean that way). There's also a complete strop section over on another forum. While my wet shaving home is and always will be TSD, I'm a member over at sharprazorpalace...there I'm 99% reading/lurking, there is tons of great info geared mostly towards any straight razor subject.

5 to go, AWESOME Tim! And a razor with a wiggly/loose blade? Um...I'm with Clint....bloodbath city for me.

    Very nice Dale!

Love the image Jason! Tobacco Tuesday, sigh....forgot. And very cool beehive brush handle work!

Wednesday Shave: There used to be a lot of trash talk about AoS and their high prices etc., but they did make one the best soaps every. I hate them for one reason only, they reformulated it. Today's soap is AoS, definitely a member of the great soap pantheon. Today's brush is a Culmak 55 best badger. I bought it NOS and it has the best badger hair I have ever experienced, it does not get much use because it is small and I am a four pass shaver.

Today's razor is a Mastro Livi Gifretto, stainless steal 6/8 and half hollow. When I started down the path ML were popular, then controversial and now not even mentioned. I own Gifrettos and they are just outstanding razors. Today's shave was excellent.

So....quick thought on the Bay Rum and clove mentions from posts today.

If you want only bay rum in your bay rum, with zippo clove, there's an offering from Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements. Atomic Age Bay Rum. Several here have it (including me, a purchase last year). And...for those who remember the Bay Rum specialist @Terry (shout out! :eatdrink047:)....might want to search his views on it. IIRC, he did a week every now and then here on the 30DC rotating through his bay rum soap/as collection.

Thanks, Blair! I just went into the bathroom to wash my face and get rid of the grill sweat. Checked for razor bumps and so far I’m in the clear. They typically would be here by this point in the day. I’ll know for sure in the morning.

Fine shave, Keith. It’s always interesting for me to see how certain things go from being the talk of the town, to being forgotten.

I think the Bostonian model also had something to do with the presentation. My New Improved Bostonian is a Silver plated version of a New Standard with a fancy box and silver blade holder.
