I moved here 21 years ago just because of isolation and landscape.
It is a very old country farmhouse (walls are 60 cm thick!) among corn fields.
I love this silence!

So THAT's his absolute real name! I had him as "Clyde Smitty".

 

I have only seen it in these forms: Stick, Tube, Jar, Puck.

Well, that's many forms......I'll look for the puck and jar. Thanks. That is actually older than Clubman. The year on all Clubman items is 1810, but Pinaud got it going in 1830, when he was 20. I doubt he could have done much from his crib lol.

 

I just edited my previous post. They do have canned foam too.

Last week when I bought the Gillette Barbershop Fresh scented foam, I mentioned that my daughter had used up all of my old cans of foam. Well, upon further exploration I did find a can of Barbasol Aloe and a small travel size of Barbasol Sensitive in the back of a drawer. I think I may have hidden them there so she couldn't find them to add to her slime making recipes...

 

Not sure I want to consume her recipes. (No offense to her, of course).

 

Fortunately, they're not for consumption, just making big messes. She went through about a two year phase of making this stuff. She's starting middle school next year and seems to have outgrown it. There are YouTube "influencers" earning mega money making this homemade stuff. Crazy.

 

Ahh, I think that is when she'll take "Home Ec(onomics)." She's well prepared.

SE SOTD, Wed, June 17th 2020

Razor: Oneblade Core Version 2- Mfg 2018> Excellent #1 Daily driver razor, mild but works excellent with a little pressure. Excellent on chin area, trimming back of neck and ears.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE modified (3) Just a excellent blade in this razor. Good sharpness, longevity & cost.
Soap: Nivea sensitive shave cream- great scent soap,I like to use this with remnants of other soaps usually lately.
Brush: Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm synthetic- Sagrada Familia- one of my favorites to use, I like their Tuxedo knot.
Pre-Shave:Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep:Cold water rinse after each rinse of 3 + pickups.
Post Shave: Nivea refreshing aftershave+ a tiny dollop of Nivea Balm.
Results:CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Just a excellent shave with my SE Oneblade v2 razor.

New Short Comb-Prismatic (Rocnel Bohin handle)/Kai (2). I'm just giddy how well this performs.

Because the Prismatic cap supports the blade close to its edge only at the ends I used one shim to increase rigidity. Probably not necessary in most situations but as aggressive shavers go this configuration can hardly be beat. Fortunately I have multiple Short comb plates so this can remain at the ready.
