Your mom's guide is useless because the rules and benefits have changed in 5 yrs. You need to go on Medicare.com to get the latest info.

Awesome sandalwood shave, pics, and report, Gary--While I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of a "Cambridge," I can definitely confirm that the razor you have is a stunningly beautiful one. I have a hard time differentiating a lot of the vintage Gillettes, and now I'm beginning to understand why :happy102:

thank you Tim.unfortunately lots of the gillette history's intricate info is locked up or gone unrecorded.but thankfully there are some worker accounts that keep us guessing..:)

Well, that's true....thanks. I think that particular guide can be ordered annually, as it would have the changes per year. But yes, Medicare.com is the best source.

    The Shave
Took the Omega boar out for another spin. Perhaps I didn’t soak it long enough--I lost 5 bristles today. They grow back, right?

This was a send-off shave for the Strong Leopard. I love its weight and the real estate it covers is wonderful, but it is just too unpleasant for me to shave with. Yes, I’m getting near BBS or DFS with it, but it just feels rough when I use it. I’ve played the angles and none of them help--that little bit of blade bend/play throws everything off.

I did three passes (WTG, XTG, ATG) and decided to pull out the Focus R21 from the bullpen after the 3rd pass for touch ups around the lips (which several hours after yesterday’s shave developed a bit of razor burn). Cleaned up just enough to keep me from going crazy, but not so much as to exacerbate yesterday’s burn. Somewhere between BBS and DFS today. Again, good results, but an unpleasant road to get there. The Strong Leopard just isn’t “sparking joy.” It’s time to move on.

On the brighter side, the pairing of Glastonbury and Avon Wild Country was surprisingly good. I avoided the combo for a while, but Glasonbury’s base notes play wonderfully with the WC--I smell great.

    Happy Hump Day :D

    96 down, 4 to go!

I see your point Bill! However, I am a coldwater shaver so Glen's way doesn't apply to me. Once in a blue moon, I will perform the hot towel treatment.

Two men who use my gym are in their 80's. I'm just amazed at their devotion.
