Those are some cool handles. If I were to build a shaving set where that brush handle blended in it would be likely a mint-based green fragrance for Spring/Summer.

Razor: Razorock SLOC - Mfg 2018> very nice razor IMO- seems to be on lower mid range for aggression with great efficiency. A very good daily driver IMO.
Blade: Kai SS (3) Smooth and sharp, biggest benefit is the blade is .009 thousands of a inch wider than a standard blade, it will produce positive blade exposure enhancing your razor up a notch in efficiency IMO.(still testing)
Soap: Razorock XXX- I like this soap scent and has great lather qualities.
Brush: Razorock Noir 400 Plissoft synthetic- reminds me of a well broke in Boar brush. Very nice brush for splay and painting with soft tips & good backbone.
Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock American barber with witch Hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= [IMG] I will always enjoy this RR SLOC because of the results it will deliver, have been experimenting with the Kai DE wider blade (+.009 thousands of a inch wider)and it delivered a excellent shave this morning. Seeing how to enhance some of my milder DE razors comparing to my SE Gem coated blades that have been also excellent to my daily routine for the last 1 1/2 yrs. Next shave with the Kai blade will be in my 1950's British Rocket SS razor.

First shave with the just arrived Fatip slant OC, BIC, was surprising for the lack of blade feel and stunning efficiency. The lack of feedback deceived me into using more pressure than necessary which led to a couple of weepers on the back of my head. Second use of Wool Fat wasn't very good but they tell me I'll get the hang of it.[IMG]

Great shave, Jeff! MWF is a very water hungry soap. I face and head lather it directly, by first building a dry paste that I apply to the shave surfaces. I then use a wet wet brush to build my lather right on the dome and mug! Works well for me! I used to use MWF as my regular soap. This Nancy Boy Signature cream I’ve been using for the last month is incredible. It’s fairly priced and delivers one of the thickest, slickest lathers I’ve ever shaved with! Hope your day goes well!

Ok I'll try that method, thanks. I've gotten a bubbly quickly dissipating mess lathering as I usually do.

***EDIT - 2 Pass + minor clean up. BBS, but got irritation. Everything was textbook and I've had nothing but great shaves with this set in the past, but today I got some redness and irritation. Can't say I overshaved. Maybe I got a defective blade this time? I don't think it was defective because it seemed to cut well and I didn't feel anything other than like it would end up a solid-to-great shave. But after the shave was over and I rinsed I could feel irritation coming on. I had to pull out the alum block and it stung a bit. Rinsed off the alum and splashed on the witch hazel and instead of post shave balm I applied some cortisone cream and some benzoyl-peroxide to both calm the redness and prevent any shave bumps (one of my tricks for shaves that end up irritating).

The shave is BBS, but at a cost of razor irritation. Pretty rare when this happens. I have different protocols for post-shave treatment for different scenarios from cuts to full razor burn. This one is a somewhat mild razor burn'ish type of event. This is the first time the OneBlade razor had a bad shave in the entire time I've used it. So, extremely rare.
