Ariana & Evans | Peach & Cognac APShaveCo. Elegant Emerald | SynBad 24mm Radio 1912 | Gem PTFE Ariana & Evans' Peach & Cognac is as-advertised with a surprisingly elegant dry down. It opens with a hyper-realistic, freshly sliced, ripe peach. There's some time spent with this initially singular note before it subtly boozes into more of a peach daiquiri with bright citrus highlights painting an image of this alcoholic peach beverage garnished with lemon and orange wedges. The entirety of the shave shares equal time between natural and boozy peach. The splash revisits the exact same natural peach element followed by a little more sophisticated booze by way of cognac along with a modest tobacco element. There's a brief moment of woodiness intermingled with the peach that is reminiscent of a peach pit. The dry down gradually drifts away from the gourmand nature in favor of clean leather and soft, slightly powdery sandalwood. This is a very strongly scented soap and splash. The lather alone fills the bathroom with this peachy goodness, and the splash's dry down is still going strong 4 hours post shave.

Just the Basics June! June 18 Razor - Feather DX Pain Stick Blade - Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - Jayaruh #312 Post - Alum Well, after time warping Tuesday night into Wednesday morning I did a complete day jump over Wednesday to land on Thursday. Got home last night and basically crashed after a long day so no shave was attempted, considered, or even thought about. So, I have a nice two day growth to deal with tonight. Best way to handle that? Continue on the world pain stick tour and move on to the Feather DX. Love this razor as it's hefty, very well balanced and the stainless steel head/holder is a thing of beauty. With a Feather Pro blade it can take down a week's growth with no worries. So two days worth is nothing. The Fat for a "basic" soap. Yes, it's a bit more on the high end but still a long time winner in the soap department. The JR312 with faux horse knot handled the work of loading and lathering with no hitches in its giddy-up. Or would that be a faux giddy-up? Anyway, three passes for a winning near-BBS and I look and feel normal again. Hope you all had a couple of good days! Have a fantastic Friday tomorrow!!
