Thanks, Keith! I'm very pleased that this renewed effort (last time I tried was almost 5 yrs ago) worked out. At this pace, I’ll probably achieve WTG and ATG straight skills by my 80th birthday! :)

Missed yesterday's shave, so with 48 hours growth, I reached for the 2011 Mühle R41.
The Rubberset 400/3 with its Omega 49 knot ripped the Mediterráneo a new one.

Blade du jour was the twice-used Voskhod.
Still very sharp and when inserted in this razor, if the blade is going to tug, it'll mos def© tug.
    No tug.
First WTG pass and I could have quit with a better than DFS shave, but no.
After I just claimed that I quit chasing the baby, I chased the baby. :scared003:
And...baby is safely in its playpen.

Lovely lather porn, my friend! It never gets much closer than an R41 shave, Maestro! But how about an R41 with a Feather blade? As always, I look forward to your entertaining posts! No better way to end a shave this time of year than with a Murray and Lanman splash!

Boy, my haircut couldn;t have come at a better time-5 straight days of 90+ degrees. She didn't "cut" my hair she SLICED it. Feels nice&sophisticated.

Fantastic pics, shave, and report, Joseph! When it's on your own terms, there's nothing wrong with the occasional chase, and it looks like this one turned out quite well :D

    Razor: Gem Micromatic
    Blade: CVS Carbon (2)
Brush: Heritage dubl duck gel boar

    Good morning!

I haven't used the MMOC since SEptember. Seeing it pop up on the thread recently inspired me to knock the dust off of it. Three passes for near BBS, silent alum. Fantastic! Even though this was only the second use of the CVS carbon blade it was pretty tuggy but still got the job done.

PAA Tri-Color Doppelganger is a dupe of Irisch Moos. Now I've never smelled Irisch Moos so I couldn't tell you if this is a good representation of it but I can tell you I love it! I'm not good at describing scents but be forewarned, though not identical it reminds me a lot of The Veg.

    Have a great day!

Wonderful shave, Joseph! You have tamed the R41. I really do need to do the same with my CG LvL3.
    Terrific picture!

Wow, that is a gorgeous MMOC! Beautiful photo; awesome line up and report.

One of these days I'll break down and try the Veg--whether chosen or not, the process is kind of a coming-of-age type of thing :D

Patrick, even in the cold of winter, I prefer my hair short. I don't know how I'd feel with NO hair.
