Okay...

So I go to use my 1912 ER today. It's shiny, perfect, tight, beautiful. I put a blade in it, and the top of the head rattles. I take out the blade and it's as tight as it could be. Put blade back in. Rattle. Repeat. Finally shake my head and give up, resorting to a tried and true 1912 GEM.

I'm so confused... think002:think002

Check to make sure the hinges are tight.. it could be that one is slipping off it's post when the blade is in. best I can describe it sorry.

Okay, now I see what's up. The thick part of the blade is contacting the spring, so the spring can't push the head all the way down. It's almost like it was made for those SE blades with two edges (and no thick side). It actually holds the blade tight and I'm pretty sure it would shave well. The rattle is just annoying. Maybe I'll pull the thick part off a blade and see how it fits then. Hmmm...:think002
