    My son’s a thrifty soul, so I don’t expect anything fancy. He did just become a grandfather. His name is Ben! He’s the one who introduced me to TSD. He's apparently a lurker of many years standing here. He did say they were Damascus blades. He’s a custom knife collector, so I expect they were made by a knife-maker He’s used before. They may not be any good. I don’t know how much synergy there is between knife making and razor making?

    Thank you, Jeff--while it was satisfying to know that I could, it'll be a while before I go chasing with a shavette again.

    Look for straight shave #1 to come August 1st :D

    Till then, I'll continue with the shavettes a few times a week to keep in practice

    Yes it is! Nothing fancy, but that's never been a problem for me--I just need my stuff to be serviceable ;)

    Thanks, Joe! After slicing my right cheek open 5 yrs ago, I don't know if confidence is the best way to describe my straight shave. I was extremely careful. I still left a fair bit of stubble for cleanup. I'm taking my time. Thanks for the support, much appreciated! Hope your Father’s Day went well!
