It's a C-MONday!
Good morning guys!

Straight Razor Shave #183 (This time it is, lol)
C-Mon 11/16 Full Hollow Sq Pt
C-Mon Heritage Collection Super HD Badger
Stirling Coconut and Lime SS and AS

The C-Mon brush whipped up a nice lather using the wet method. The Coconut and Lime is nice clean, but not overpowering scent. It truly is a nice summer soap. I bought this C-Mon razor as a set on Fleabay awhile ago. The guy that sold it to me really did a great job honing this and the other C-Mon because I could've fnished this shave on 1 pass on a 44 hr beard growth. Of course, I like at least 2 passes to complete my shaves. So with the 2.5 passes, it was a BBS that wouldn't pass the cotton-ball test. I know some purists wouldn't consider it a true BBS, but in my world it is. Splashed the aftershave to complete this superb shave. Have a great day guys!

Awesome report and shave, Jeff! The big draw for the straight for me is the length of the cutting surface--cutting through a huge swath of stubble is awesome. Potential smoothness is also a draw. The ability to get a blade crazy sharp, but velvety smooth I find very appealing. Stropping? Not so much. I'm hoping it's something that I get into the zen of doing once I start, but I know that there will be mornings when I just pick up a shavette or DE simply because I have neither the time nor the emotional fortitude early in the morning for a strop session.

That's an awesome focus, Joseph! I didn't know there where that many Polsilver flavors out there. All I do know is the ones I tried were amazing!

What, no shavette? It's the ultimate adjustable razor! All kidding aside, that's a great list, David; one that makes me realize that I currently don't have an open comb razor. Hmmm...

I'm a minimalist, so I'd definitely trim some of the repeaters. A possible addition might be one of the GEM style SE razors like the Ever Ready 1912 or a MMOC (or both, since one is open comb and the other isn't). If you're interested in either, I gave both to my sister, but they're collecting dust ever since she picked up the Parker Variant--she has no intention of using either--I'll take 'em back if you say the word
